Our laboratory is currently working in the unique landscape of southern Rajasthan, a transitional zone of the Thar Desert, the Malwa plateau and the hills of Vindhyan. The entire region is situated in the world’s oldest Aravalli mountain ranges with a mosaic of human settlements, agricultural lands, native forests, and natural and artificial wetlands.

Our thrust areas are animal behavior and ecology, evaluating species and their habitat conservation research methodologies, population management, and providing policy-relevant information for sustainable management and development.
