In order to know more about how other countries manage to deal with this issue, we conducted video conference with other countries to know more about it. The first country we had video conference with is India. Students from St. Mark Public School introduced how they dealt with Carp fish problem in their rivers. They designed a carp fish trap to attract fish to come in and catch them in the end. We also introduced them the apple snails problem in the rivers in Taiwan and how we designed the tool to remove apple snails in the river.
The second country we had video conference with is Japan. Students from ISE high school, Mie prefecture, Japan. They introduced us two science experiments. First is about the light condition where mosquitos live and what kind of blood mosquitos like better. The other experiment is on the pungency of taste of spicy. They tried to see which drinks can relieve the taste of spicy and which chemical content in the drink mildens the taste of spicy.
From the video conference, we have learned that we need to enrich the content of our knowledge on sustainable development goal 11 and also the knowledge in regard to the invasive alien species we have done research on. Indian students have provided more information about the invasive alien species in the world and their community. And, Indian students' English speaking ability is really good. We need to practice more to achieve that level.
From the video conference with Japan. We noticed that Japanese students set up hypothesis and then control the experiment to operate on the variant factors to see the results, which really made us realize what a thorough experiment should be done. If you have an opportunity to work on this project again, we will need to have to try our products and test it to see the results and make the results of the project more convincing.
