About Me

My name is Michaela Belland, and I'm excited to make your party something special! I'm a 33 year old divorced mom of a dazzling young son. Every birthday event for him has been full and vibrant with lots to do either at a specific venue or at home.  For 5 years I also created birthday experiences for his older sisters, with themes ranging from talent shows to cupcake decorating. Add facepainting to half of those events, as well as 14 years working in the service industry, and I find myself comfortable in party environments. 

One of my parents is a Cajun cuisine master, an elementary school teacher, and a true Southern belle. I learned how to curate a space to individual preferences and needs while maintaining a clear directive. Decoration placement became second nature to me. The chaos of a group of entertained children is music to my ears. 

Another of my parents is an artist and bohemian homemaker, hippy through to the bone. Simplicity can be just as effective as recreating a Southern Living cover. With fairy lights, tapestries and well-placed flora, a plain cube room can be transformed into a magic forest. 

I prioritize both sensory experience and seamless functionality in my event process. My drive is taking the pressure off planning by creating a seamless journey from idea formation all the way to decision execution.  Whether you know exactly what you want or only have a date chosen, I will be delighted to guide you through an unforgettable experience that represents you in new ways.
