AmeriCorps - University of Arizona Wildcat Corps

AmeriCorps is a National Service Program . It offers an opportunity for organizations like Extension to extend their reach, and for people who need experience to learn new professional skills while providing meaningful service to their community.

Our members focus on Education by providing STEM Opportunities in Out-Of-School Time and Summer Learning for Youth. Community needs are addressed with service that strengthens the capacity of youth to increase educational attainment and fosters positive youth development.

Need

Arizona struggles to find the STEM talent needed to stay competitive and communities lack resources to bring STEM education to youth especially in rural and at-risk communities.
