Coach Parriott begins his 15th year at the helm of the Arvada West Men's basketball program. Jeff will be entering his 36th season as a head basketball coach. His previous stints as Head Coach include Dakota Ridge Hight School, Westminster High School, Colby High School (KS), and Golden Plains High School (KS). In those 35 seasons he has led his teams to one State Championship, and 10 League Championships. Of the five League titles all-time at A-West, three have occurred under his tenure. He has been selected Coach of the Year in Jefferson County 3 times, and was the Kansas High School Basketball Coach of the Year twice. During his coaching career his teams have won over 440 games. Jeff lives in the Thornton area with his wife Stacy, and his daughter Sydney.
Coach Brown begins his 15th season as the Assistant Head Coach at Arvada West High School. Prior to Arvada West Lex served on the staff at Pomona high school for 3 seasons, and coached one season at Smoky Hill High School. As a collegiate player he starred at BYU-Hawaii from 1985-1988. Lex played baseball and basketball at Snow Community College before moving on the BYU-Hawaii. As a high school standout he led Bountiful High School (Utah) to a 4A State Championship in 1982. Lex lives in Arvada with his Wife Renee, and has four children Heather, Tyler, Jeffrey, and Haley.
Coach Satchell was named Level III Boys Coach at Arvada West in 2021. Alex is a returning Arvada West graduate who played basketball for 4 years under Coach Parriott from 2008-2012. While playing at Arvada West, Alex assisted in coaching the Arvada West Gold Crown program. After graduating from Arvada West, Alex attended Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa and played for one season under Coach Brian Van Haaften before sustaining an injury and returning to Colorado. Alex coached for the Premier Basketball Club for 6 years in age groups ranging from 9 to 15 years old and was an assistant coach for one season at Green Mountain High School under Coach Mike Puccio.
Coach Bryan begins his 15th year with the Arvada West staff. Gary has a long, distinguished career as a head coach. His began his coaching career at Bennet High School in 1978. He went on to serve as the head coach at Erie High School, Highland High School, Aurora Hinkley High School, and Aurora Central High School. He lives in Bennet with his wife Jody.
