Canaima National Park

Description

Canaima National Park was decreed in 1962 and is located in southeastern Venezuela and covering 3 million hectares along the borders of Guyana and Brazil. About 65% of the park is made up of table mountain formations, known as tepuis. These tepuis are unique geological features and are interesting to scientists. The park has impressive cliffs and waterfalls, including the world's highest waterfall, which is 1,000 meters tall, creating a stunning landscape. Inscribed in 1994 at UNESCO. Coordinates: Between 4° 41' and 6° 28' north latitude and 60° 44' and 62° 59' west longitude.

Geology

This formation is from the Precambrian era and is nearly three million years old, making it one of the oldest geological formations on Earth. This a Formation type "Roraima"
