The Wii U suffered an unfortunate fate thanks to its poor marketing and product confusion. The system itself was a continuation of the hardware found in the GC and Wii making it easy for the homebrew scene to implement a lot of cool things into it including emulation with Retroarch! The Wii U version of Retroarch may not feature as many systems as other platforms yet but it provides solid performance and gives your rarest Nintendo home console the ability to play games and systems that weren't lucky enough to make the Virtual Console.
