If you want a lightweight, breathable listening experience that feels almost weightless for small ears and long wear sessions, choose Wigfar Open Ear Headphones; if you need the specific security of bone conduction technology for high-intensity movement where absolute stability is non-negotiable, choose Dulailt True Bone Conduction. This isn't a close call between two identical products; it is a choice between two distinct engineering philosophies designed for different types of listeners. One prioritizes an airy, open sound field with modern Bluetooth efficiency, while the other leans into the unique mechanics of vibrating bone to keep your ears completely free of pressure. Both are excellent in their own right, but they serve different needs when you are looking for headphones that fit comfortably without feeling like they are clamping down on your head.
• Wigfar Open Ear Headphones: Best strength is its ultra-lightweight clip design and 24+ hour battery life using Bluetooth 5.3; biggest trade-off is standard open-air audio rather than direct bone vibration. This pick is for those seeking a comfortable, all-day companion for casual listening and safety.
• Dulailt True Bone Conduction: Best strength is its dedicated bone conduction driver technology and secure locking fit for intense sports; biggest trade-off is slightly heavier overall weight compared to the Wigfar alternative. This pick is for athletes who need maximum stability and environmental awareness during rigorous activity.
• The Verdict: Choose Wigfar for everyday comfort and extended battery life; choose Dulailt for specialized sports performance and bone-transmission audio.
The Wigfar Open Ear Headphones are engineered with a specific focus on comfort and longevity, making them an ideal candidate for anyone searching for lightweight open ear headphones for small ears. The design utilizes a U-shaped curved arm that clips onto the ear without entering the canal, a feature that directly addresses the common issue of ear fatigue. Because the device does not seal the ear or press against the skin deeply, it allows for natural airflow and prevents the buildup of heat or moisture that often plagues traditional in-ear solutions. This makes the Wigfar E88 model particularly suitable for individuals with smaller ear structures who might find bulkier over-ear or in-ear devices uncomfortable after just an hour of use.

From a technical standpoint, the Wigfar relies on a dual-unit composite diaphragm to manage sound frequencies. Unlike bone conduction which vibrates the skull, this unit aims to create a focused sound beam while preventing sound leakage. The result is a balanced audio profile that remains clear even at higher volumes, yet still allows ambient noise to pass through naturally. For someone who needs to listen to music or take calls while driving, working from home, or simply walking around the neighborhood, this balance is crucial. The inclusion of Bluetooth 5.3 ensures a stable connection with fast transfer speeds, meaning you won't experience the lag or dropouts that can ruin a workout playlist or a conference call.
Who should skip this? If you are a runner who needs the absolute tightest possible grip to prevent any movement, the Wigfar might feel slightly less secure than a dedicated bone conduction unit during very high-impact activities. However, for the vast majority of users—especially students, office workers, or casual joggers—the Wigfar offers a superior blend of convenience and audio quality. Its compact carrying case weighs only 3.35 ounces, making it easy to toss into a pocket or bag without adding noticeable bulk. The 27.99-hour average battery life means you can go days without reaching for the Type-C charging cable, provided you aren't using it constantly. This is the headphone for the person who values freedom of movement and wants a device that simply disappears on their head while they work or play.
The Dulailt True Bone Conduction headphones operate on a fundamentally different principle, utilizing technology that transmits audio vibrations directly through the cheekbones to the inner ear. This approach is specifically designed for the active user who demands zero compromise on situational awareness. By bypassing the eardrum entirely, these headphones allow you to hear your surroundings with complete clarity while simultaneously enjoying your music. For someone looking for the best kids headset for small ears who also engages in outdoor sports, the Dulailt B56s Pro offers a level of safety that traditional speakers cannot match. The open-ear design here is not just about comfort; it is a functional necessity for anyone running near traffic or cycling on shared paths.
Durability and fit are the hallmarks of the Dulailt design. The ear clip mechanism is built to lock securely, ensuring that the device stays in place even during vigorous movements like rock climbing, hiking, or sprinting. The IPX4 waterproof rating confirms that sweat and light rain will not damage the internal components, making it a reliable partner for intense gym sessions or rainy runs. The audio impedance of 12 ohms suggests a system tuned for efficient power delivery, and the 30-hour total playtime (6 hours on the buds plus 24 from the case) provides ample energy for long trips. While the item weight is listed at 200 grams, which includes the charging case, the individual earpiece is designed to be unobtrusive despite the robust build required for bone conduction mechanics.
This product is best suited for the athlete who views their headphones as essential gear rather than just an accessory. If you have ever struggled with earbuds falling out during a run or felt dizzy from the pressure of sealed ear cups, the Dulailt offers a solution. The built-in microphone is optimized for call quality, ensuring that you can take important work calls or chat with a friend while maintaining full environmental awareness. However, users who prefer deep bass response or immersive, closed-in audio experiences might find the open nature of bone conduction less satisfying. But for the specific niche of outdoor safety and secure fit, this is a powerhouse option that justifies its existence.

In my opinion, I would buy the Wigfar Open Ear Headphones for my personal collection because the combination of ultra-lightweight design and exceptional battery life solves the most common pain points of daily headphone use. While the Dulailt is a formidable machine for the gym, the Wigfar feels more like a natural extension of myself for general living. The ability to wear them for hours without noticing their presence, especially for those with head phones for small ears, makes the Wigfar the more versatile choice for a broad range of lifestyles. The Bluetooth 5.3 performance ensures I stay connected without frustration, and the open design keeps me safe and aware without sacrificing music quality. If you prioritize comfort and longevity over specialized bone conduction mechanics, the Wigfar is the one to take home.
Yes, both models feature clip-on designs, but the Wigfar is explicitly noted for being small and lightweight, making it particularly comfortable for smaller ear structures. The Dulailt also offers a secure fit but may feel slightly more substantial due to its bone conduction hardware.
Both the Wigfar and Dulailt carry an IPX4 rating, which means they are resistant to water splashes and sweat. They are designed to handle the rigors of a workout or unexpected weather, though neither is submersible.
The Wigfar Open Ear Headphones offer a longer average battery life of approximately 27.99 hours, whereas the Dulailt provides 30 hours total including the case but with a 6-hour bud runtime. For long, uninterrupted listening sessions, the Wigfar holds a slight edge in continuous playback time.
The Wigfar uses a dual-unit composite diaphragm for a balanced frequency range, while the Dulailt uses bone conduction technology that transmits sound via vibration. The Wigfar generally offers a more traditional audio experience, while the Dulailt prioritizes keeping the ears open for safety.
