WiFi Doctor: Pro Network Tools (“the App”) is developed by an independent developer (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains our data practices and your rights regarding the information handled by the App.
WiFi Doctor is a network analysis tool designed to run primarily on your device. We value your privacy and do not host servers to collect or store your personal data. The App uses industry-standard third-party SDKs from Google to provide advertisements and process secure payments.
We do not collect, store, or share any personal information. The App does not require an account, and we do not have access to your name, email, phone number, or precise GPS location.
The Free version of the App uses the Google AdMob SDK. Google may automatically collect and process certain data types for advertising and analytics purposes, including:
Device Identifiers: Advertising ID (AAID), Android ID, and other device-specific IDs.
Approximate Location: Derived from your IP address to show relevant local ads.
App Activity: Interactions with ads and basic app usage metrics.
Diagnostics: Crash logs and performance data to ensure app stability.
Encryption: All data transmitted to Google services is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS).
Users who purchase the Pro Upgrade via Google Play Billing receive an enhanced privacy experience:
AdMob Disabled: Upon detection of a valid Pro status, the AdMob SDK is not initialized.
Zero Advertising Data: In the Pro version, no advertising identifiers or approximate location data are shared with Google AdMob.
The App requests specific Android permissions necessary for technical Wi-Fi analysis. We do not use these permissions to track your physical location.
Location Permissions: Required by Android (prior to version 13) to perform Wi-Fi scanning. We use this only to read network technicalities (SSID/BSSID).
Nearby Wi-Fi Devices: On Android 13+, this allows the App to scan for signal strength (RSSI) and frequency without accessing your GPS location.
Internet Access: Used for network tools, processing Pro upgrades, and loading ads (Free version only).
Because we do not store your data on any developer-owned servers, there is no data for us to delete upon request. To manage or delete the data collected by Google:
Advertising ID: You can reset or delete your Advertising ID in your device settings (Settings > Google > Ads > Reset advertising ID).
Consent: Users in the EEA, UK, and regulated US states can change their privacy preferences at any time via the "Privacy Preferences" button in the App's settings.
Depending on your location (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), you have the right to access, delete, or opt-out of data collection. Since your data is handled locally or via Google, you can exercise these rights through your Google Account settings and the in-app consent tools.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
