Using latest OpenWrt 21.02.1 I set up a WPA3 only wifi network using LuCi.

I can connect to this network from my android phone, so the network itself works. However I am unable to connect to it from my Windows 10 computer (latest Windows 10 21H2) with a Qualcomm Atheros AR938x Wireless Network Adapter. Windows directly shows the network with errors:

The short answer is that Windows 10 can connect to WPA3 wifi networks, but not if they are using one of the passwords in the new "password keeper". If your WPA3 network uses a password you have previously used with WPA2, then Windows 10 should be able to access it.

I bought the new Netgear Wifi 6 AX8 and installed over AT&T connection, turning AT&T router into a bridge mode. Everything worked fine and all my devices are now connected to my new router (around 10 devices / computers). I changed the network name to something else. The netgear shows itself to all my devices when I search for Wifi network but windows 10. I have an Acer laptop not too old (2 years ago). I already updated the driver, reinstalled, reset it, enable/disabled, reboot, you name it, but my network is not shown on the network list. I can see many available networks but mine. Do you know what's going on? My new router seems to be configured properly, with SSID enabled and two networks 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz running fine.Thanks.

Ok, after struggle with that for hours I found out the solution, which is pretty simple. DON'T TRUST MICROSOFT. So, when Microsoft tell you they updated your driver when you are at the driver configuration, don't believe it. Go to your driver source and download it from there. I went to intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html and downloaded the Intel Driver & Support Assistant. From there I verified that the wifi driver should be updated. I did that using Intel program and now I can see my Netgear wifi. Simple but I was misguided by this sh**t Windows.

I dual booted Ubuntu 17.10 in my windows 10.While working in windows wifi works fine! But in Ubuntu it is always showing "No wifi adapter found, Make sure you have a wifi adapter plugged and turned on"Not getting any solutions online! Tried some of them but not working! Help please

Whenever I want to connect a wifi connection after moving my laptop Hamachi does everything it can to make me not be able to access internet at all. The only way I've been able to bybass it is if I restart my laptop and Disable the **bleep** HAMACHI Ethernet port albeit it wanting to use Hamachi for stuff this **bleep** is **bleep**ING annoying As hell.

I turned off the automatic startup for Hamachi, but when I turned my computer on yesterday I didn't have wifi at all. I checked my network adapters, nothing but Hamachi / Ethernet. My other computers in the house were working fine. So I tried to turn on Hamachi to see if it would help, tried resetting, nothing. Next I uninstalled it, restarted, still no wifi. Now my computer only had an ethernet adapter and no hamachi adapter. I did some more digging and went into my devices, it didn't show up there either until I found out it was hidden. Clicked properties, and got error 45 : "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)" ??????

After I installed Windows, I booted back into Arch naturally because that's where I do most of my work. However, strangely enough, my wifi card is not recognized anymore. I tried booting a few times to make sure it wasn't a one-off type of thing. Every time I boot, I can't find my wifi card with ip link.

This isn't a request for help, I'm just documenting how I made my new USB wifi adapter work with Mobile hotspot on Windows 10. I mostly use these devices to create a hotspot at work for my phones to connect to the cabled Ethernet connection, and a full fledged router isn't an option, so I need the mobile hotspot function to work properly. However, during both my previous install (TL-WN725N) and this one (T4U v3) I encountered several hurdles before I could make them work. Perhaps others have the same problems and these points might help them troubleshoot.

Problem with WIFI adapter that is always working perfectly fine when booting with Windows. I changed from Ubuntu to Fedora, thinking that the problem was the OS and after trying lots of commands, even installing again my wifi adapter card driver which was already recognized in Terminal (Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200). But realize that this step of downloading the driver was not necessary. Wifi was appearing again in settings after restarting and accessing Windows first, then restarting and going back to Fedora again, suddenly everything worked, so the driver is not the issue here. Linux is unable to recognize it for some weird reason and this is directly related to shutting down or restarting the PC.

When you connect to WiFi, a profile is created and stored on your computer to make it easier to connect again and again. When wifi service or its security is improved, sometimes you need to remove the old profile so it doesn't interfere with a new one. Also, sometimes the wifi profile can build up and you'll need to delete the ones you are not using any longer.

What is the problem?

I was using Octopi happily for a long time. I left my printer off for a week and came back and it seemed to have lost the connection to wifi using octopi.local. I can connect fine to the IP address for my Raspberry Pi using an Ethernet connection and as long as it is hard wired, it works fine with Cura and I can print, etc. I can even see the camera and monitor temps, etc. However when I disconnect the Pi from Ethernet and try to connect from my Windows Laptop, I cannot connect using octopi.local at all and when I try to connect using the static IP address 192.168.1.83, it seems to connect but I only get a Text version of the Octoprint UI (see attached) and I cannot print. I CAN, however, connect to octopi.local just fine from my iphone or other device. Seems like something simple on my Windows laptop but not sure what it is.

Hi all, when I activate Norton 360 VPN on my Windows 11 machine, Windows displays my wifi as disabled. However, my wifi is still working normally. This would a minor annoyance, except then all my windows apps (ex. Outlook) read my wifi as disconnected and do not work. It appears that this has happened to others as there is a post about it here: 2351a5e196
