I one day had a brainstorm and wondered if it was an issue with the automatic channel switching at the wifi router....logged into router and set it to a set specific channel that had less traffic....BINGO no more network disconnect and actually better throughput in general!

My wife bought phaser 3020 two days ago. My wife and I installed it using the installation disk. The problem is the wifi connection after a few hours of idle is lost. (I mean I cannot print. also, on my printer list the printer appears as offline and also the printer-wps blue light (that should indicate wifi conncted) is missing even when pressing power button on printer). The current solution is just to shut down the printer and restart it. After that the wifi connection is established and we can print again. (allthough it still appears as offline in the printer list) .

The '/interface/wifi/frequency-scan wifi1' command provides information about RF conditions on available channels that can be obtained by running the frequency-scan command. Used to approximate the spectrum usage, it can be useful to find less crowded frequencies.

The '/interface wifi scan' command will scan for access points and print out information about any APs it detects. It doesn't show the frequency usage, per channel, but it will reveal all access points that are transmitting. You can use the "connect" button, to initiate a connection to a specific AP.

Starting about a month ago, all of my Apple devices (2019 MacBook Pro with macOS 10.15.7, iPhone 12 Pro Max with iOS 16.4.1, and iPad Pro 2 with iPadOS 15.7.1) forget all wifi passwords. Each time, this happens to all of the devices simultaneously and I have to re-save the passwords on all of the devices again. The devices think they remember the networks, but either forget the password or the passwords are corrupted.

same thing happening to me-- iphone on ios 16.5 as of today. problem started with ios 16.4. two offices, home and other known networks (so we are talking several different routers, ISPs and networks)-- the iphone periodically forgets the network passwords. after the iphone forgets it, my icloud signed macs follow (a macbook, a macbook pro, two mac minis and two imacs). i reenter them and about a week later they forget the passwords again. but the iphone, under wifi settings, shows the networks as "my networks", still recognizes them, but forgets their passwords and asks me to reenter. once that happens, the macs forget them too. this is not a router, network or device problem. all of my apple devices under the same icloud account do this since ios 16.4. apple said they addressed forgotten wifi password issues with a patch to ios 16.4 but apparently not. this is obviously a keychain and icloud problem that needs to be addressed by apple. there are numerous other users complaining about the same thing. any thoughts?

Also experiencing this issue, which started within the last few weeks. All internet providers, wifi routers etc are the same as they were before the issues started occurring, but all my apple devices (MacBook Pro, iPad, iPhone & MacMini) seem to forget the passwords on a fairly regular basis which never used to happen - is it a bug related to an update perhaps?

I'm having exactly the same issue. I haven't changed any settings, and suddenly my Mac, iPad and iPhone all keep forgetting wifi passwords. The suggestions unfortunately don't work. It's not a WiFi connection issue. I'd guess it's more to do with passwords stored and shared in the keychain???

It happens simultaneously on all devices connected to my account for all wifi networks regardless of where the devices are. When they forget, they forget every password for every wifi network at the same time. It seems like all of the stored passwords on a device are somehow being corrupted and then that is synced to all of the other devices.

OAK WiFi has live hotspots throughout the City; this initiative will greatly expand the coverage from West Oakland through Downtown and along the International Blvd corridor to the San Leandro border. The 13 wifi zones are located in East and West Oakland, Uptown and Downtown. These zones began to come online starting in mid-November 2020. Currently 12 of 13 zones are live and available to use - see map below. The remaining Zones will come online as they are completed. It is anticipated that all 13 zones will be online by the end of March 2021.

Special symbols in WiFi passwords

Another problem that I noticed is the use of the "@" symbol in your WiFi password. For some reason the Pi converts this to a " and thus your wifi log in will not be successful (wrong password). After putting in your SSID and password with something like Raspi-Config, go back and make sure that your @ (ASCII character) is in the correct place and has not been replace by something else. (I used Shift+" on my keyboard to replace the " with a @ but you may have to find a different way or just change your password to something without a @ in it).

Just wanted to drop a tip. Configuring WiFi country is outlined in when talking about editing the txt file in the boot folder, but is kind of glossed over when talking about configuring with keyboard+mouse+monitor. I've never had good luck getting my card reader to work with partitioned SD cards, so I always just plug a monitor in to my Pi's. This is my first board newer than a 3B, and I had no idea about having to configure wifi country. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure it out. While sudo raspi-config'ing, wifi country is in the localization options. e24fc04721
