I do not have an apple subscription so I will not be downloading any content from there but if I bought a collection of movies on the app am I still able to watch them when I am on airplane mode without wifi? I remember doing that years ago with iTunes but I am a bit confused if it is the same thing still

It is a disaster for us, customers. I download with my internet that works with very high speed, premium, but itunes movies only at home, with apple tv. The best is try other alternative. I invested too much money renting and buying movies and TV show. I no longer

Wifi Movies Free Download

Although this works in theory, you have to make sure you did this to all the movies you have on your device. I have a dozen or so on my iPad. I never know what I want to watch and one should have to upload movies to your device just to have to download them. WiFi should NOT be needed to view existing content on your device. Whoever made this decision should be fired and forced to live in a land of now entertainment.

I'm in a hotel long-term where I often can't use the wifi. Can I use my phone's bluetooth to stream video/movies instead of wifi? I was going to buy a Roku Ultra because I can't afford enough data to stream from a hotspot but only see bluetooth used for audio mentioned. I'll have to find another type of streaming device if this isn't possible. (It would be silly to have bluetooth but not be able to use it for the most obvious and basic functions.)

It's supposed to have the "best wifi connection" but I tried bluetooth (which obviously didn't work) then the hotel's wifi, my 2 wifi extensions, and hotspots and wifi direct on 2 phones each, and could only get online once- and the connection dropped after 15 minutes.

I boxed it right back up and hooked my Roku Express 3930RW back up and it connects much better, but the hotel wifi drops often and I can only sign on 1 device at a time, which is why I need bluetooth.

I researched a little and exchanged for the Chromecast with Google TV for $50. It's supposed to work with bluetooth only as well as screen mirroring and tethering. The only thing I didn't check is if it'll work with the hotel's captive portal. Ill explain for people who search that function- it's a wifi sign in page hotels use that keeps devices that can't enter a password, like my Echo, from connecting. The Express and Ultra roku's have dorm/hotel connect. To use it you sign your phone onto the roku signal in your wifi list and it brings up the hotel's portal site on your phone. You sign in as usual and the roku is on wifi through your phone.

If the chromecast doesn't work with the hotel's wifi, bluetooth will HOPEFULLY be ok until I find a hotspot plan I can afford. A tip to save 50% of your data when streaming: set the picture for SD quality instead of 4K or UHD.

Re: Stream Movies/TV (Netflix) via pocket WiFi?2016/1/18 11:17 Most Japanese hotels offer free internet in the room, so data caps shouldn't be an issue. The main problem is being able to access NA Netflix in Japan. You'll need to run a vpn or proxy to do that, but it may make steaming untenable. You might want to dl movies to your device instead just in case.by yllwsmrfrate this post as useful

Re: Stream Movies/TV (Netflix) via pocket WiFi?2016/1/21 16:42 Actually at Sakura Mobile it is possible to choose data package with no cap which makes it unlimited. The thing is that it is up to you how much you want to order. However, speed stays fast so that movie streaming is super possible! I used 10 GB plan so my kids could watch cartoons occasionally.

Re: Stream Movies/TV (Netflix) via pocket WiFi?2017/3/17 15:09 Most of the hotels in Japan offers free internet connection, so internet is not the problem. The only problem is you can't able to access US Netflix Netflix in Japan. You will need a PureVPN -vpn-service.php to connect US server to access US Netflix or you can download movies on your device.by crasskittyrate this post as useful

Throughout the early to mid-1960s, some in-flight movies were played back from videotape, using early compact transistorized videotape recorders made by Sony (such as the SV-201 and PV-201) and Ampex (such as the VR-660 and VR-1500), and played back on CRT monitors mounted on the upper sides in the cabin above the passenger seats with several monitors placed a few seats apart from each other. The audio was played back through the headsets.

The largest international airlines sometimes pay more than $90,000 for a license to show one movie over a period of two or three months. These airlines usually feature up to 100 movies at once, whereas 20 years ago they would have only 10 or 12. In the United States, airlines pay a flat fee every time the movie is watched by a passenger. Some airlines spend up to $20million per year on content.[15]

Audio-video on demand (AVOD) entertainment has also been introduced. This enables passengers to pause, rewind, fast-forward, or stop a program that they have been watching. This is in contrast to older entertainment systems where no interactivity is provided for. AVOD also allows the passengers to choose among movies stored in the aircraft computer system.

Personal on-demand videos are stored in an aircraft's main in-flight entertainment system, whence they can be viewed on demand by a passenger over the aircraft's built in media server and wireless broadcast system. Along with the on-demand concept comes the ability for the user to pause, rewind, fast forward, or jump to any point in the movie. There are also movies that are shown throughout the aircraft at one time, often on shared overhead screens or a screen in the front of the cabin. More modern aircraft are now allowing Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) to be used to connect to the on board in-flight entertainment systems.[citation needed]

Regularly scheduled in flight movies began to premiere in 1961 on flights from New York to Los Angeles.[23] The first movie shown was By Love Possessed (1961), starring Lana Turner; it was first shown on July 19, 1961, when TWA showed it to its first-class passengers.

Another handy option is to use a portable media player. These devices have built-in storage and allow you to transfer movies and TV shows from your computer or other devices. Some popular portable media players include iPod Touch, Sony Walkman, and Microsoft Zune. Simply load your desired movies or TV shows onto the media player and enjoy them during your flight. Ensure that your media player is fully charged or bring a power bank to avoid running out of battery mid-flight.

If you prefer a larger screen or want to watch movies on a laptop, USB flash drives or external hard drives can be great alternatives. Before your trip, transfer your movie files onto these storage devices. On most airplanes, you can connect a USB flash drive directly to an available USB port on the in-flight entertainment system. Alternatively, you can connect an external hard drive to your laptop via the USB port and play the movies directly from the drive.

Yes, most smartphones and tablets allow you to download movies or TV shows from streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney+ for offline viewing. Make sure to download the content before your flight and check if your streaming service offers this feature.

Yes, if your laptop has a compatible DVD or Blu-ray drive, you can bring along your favorite movies or TV series on discs and play them during your flight. Remember to pack the necessary cables to connect your laptop to the in-flight entertainment system, if available.

In conclusion, there are several ways to watch movies on an airplane without WIFI. By pre-downloading movies or TV shows on your device, using streaming services with offline viewing options, utilizing portable media players, or bringing along USB flash drives or external hard drives, you can ensure an entertaining journey even without an internet connection. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy your favorite movies while soaring through the skies!

* You can't download movies or TV shows to Apple TV, smart TVs, or streaming devices. You can download HDR content only to certain iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch models. You can't download 4K video content to any device.

Tap the icon next to the "Cellular" option to toggle it into the "On" position. Once the "Cellular" feature is on, your phone will use your cell phone provider's 3G or 4G network to download movies when you are not connected to the Internet. ff782bc1db
