AuraaByte ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how WiFi FTP Server: File Transfer (the "Application") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our mobile application.
WiFi FTP Server: File Transfer is designed to provide local, wireless file transfer capabilities between your mobile device and other devices (such as PCs, laptops, or other smartphones) over a local Wi-Fi network or mobile hotspot.
Local-Only File Transfers: All file transfers via FTP occur directly across your local area network (LAN). We do not operate external cloud storage servers to host, intercept, copy, or view your transferred files.
No Remote File Storage: Your files, media, folders, and personal data remain solely on your device and the connected client device you authorize.
To deliver its core functionality, the Application requests specific device permissions. These permissions are used exclusively for on-device operations:
Storage Access (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Required to allow the FTP server to read, write, upload, and download files to/from your device's internal or external storage as directed by the user during an active session.
Network & Wi-Fi State (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE, CHANGE_WIFI_MULTICAST_STATE, INTERNET): Required to detect your device’s local IP address, verify connection to a local Wi-Fi network or hotspot, and establish the local FTP socket connection.
Foreground Service / Notification (FOREGROUND_SERVICE): Required to keep the FTP server running reliably in the background while you transfer files, and to display an active status notification with server details (IP address and port).
Wake Lock (WAKE_LOCK): Keeps the CPU active to prevent network timeout during large file transfers when the screen is locked or idle.
While the core FTP engine does not transmit personal data externally, the Application may use standard third-party SDKs for crash reporting, analytics, and advertising. These third-party services may collect non-personally identifiable technical information (e.g., device model, OS version, advertising ID, crash logs):

Google AdMob / Firebase Analytics (if advertising or basic analytics are enabled)
These third-party providers handle data in accordance with their respective privacy policies.
We prioritize data security by keeping all file transfers restricted to your local network. However, standard FTP transfers are unencrypted by protocol design:
Ensure you only connect to trusted local networks or private mobile hotspots.
Use the application's built-in authentication settings (such as setting a custom username and password or restricting read-only access) to secure local server access from unauthorized devices on the same network.
The Application is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
