Privacy Policy for WiFi Doctor

Last updated: August 27, 2026

WiFi Doctor is a local network diagnostic application. This policy explains what information the app accesses and how it is handled.

Information accessed

When you grant the requested permission, WiFi Doctor accesses information about the Wi-Fi network currently connected to your device, including its SSID, BSSID, signal strength, frequency, link speed, and local gateway address.

WiFi Doctor sends diagnostic ICMP ping requests to your local gateway and to an internet IP address or hostname that you can configure. The default target is 8.8.8.8. These requests are used to estimate network latency and packet loss.

How information is used

The information is used only on your device to display live network diagnostics.

WiFi Doctor does not transmit diagnostic records to the developer, does not operate a developer backend, and does not use advertising or analytics SDKs.

Data retention

WiFi Doctor does not maintain a remote account or server-side data store.

Children

WiFi Doctor is a general-purpose technical utility and is not directed to children.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the app's functionality or data practices change. The current version will be published at the privacy policy URL shown in the Google Play listing.
