So Lance was from the island of napado, right off the coast of the trial islands (d&d) setting
His family was killed by goblins and cobalts, so he swore that he would get revenge by killing every single gremlin goblin, wizard, spellcaster, and warlock that he sees
He ends up making a deal with the powerful deity that promises to grant his wish, in return for his arm
So he loses his arm to gain power, and he joins a group of mercenaries to track down and kill people, along the way killing anybody who opposes him and his deity
