Tonatiuh Matos Wiederhold

I am a PhD candidate in math at the University of Toronto specializing in combinatorial set theory and theoretical computer science. My goal is to help find a unifying theory of descriptive dynamics and distributed local algorithms.

I care deeply about getting people engaged in math. I have given over 20 talks in around a dozen cities. I am also a course instructor; click here for my last course. When I am not focused on research or teaching, I like spending time outdoors or playing music.

2023 UofT Most Understandable Scientist and Heidelberg Laureate Forum alumnus. I am the Treasurer Vice-President of the Mathematics Graduate Student Association.
