The goal of this conference is to enhance diversity within the field of international economics by providing junior scholars identifying as women or nonbinary with a forum to present work and receive constructive feedback and mentorship. We hope the conference will also foster meaningful connections between junior and senior participants.
All faculty and researchers are welcome to attend.
We adopt the same definition of junior woman as the Committee on the Status of Women in the Economics Profession (CSWEP) of the American Economic Association:
“The term junior woman usually refers to anyone identifying as a woman or nonbinary who is untenured, or who has received a PhD less than seven years ago; but could also refer to a woman who has not yet presented papers widely.”
