Bio: Hend Alrasheed is assistant professor at the Department of Information Technology, King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Her research focuses on understanding and analyzing real world networks with a special focus on analyzing the structural properties and dynamics of complex networks. Problems she investigates lie at the intersection of graph theory and network science. Her research interests also include software engineering measurements. Specifically, problems related to modeling software programs as flow graphs and analyzing their properties.
Abstract : People, places, computers, Web pages, and even our bodies are all examples of real-world complex networks. All these networks play important roles in our daily life, therefore, their understanding, modelling, and prediction, have become a major scientific challenge. Network science provides a tool that help us represent, analyze, and understand the hidden properties that those complex systems exhibit from a viewpoint of interactions and connections. This workshop introduces the basic elements of networks (graph theory) and their applications including social science, healthcare, infrastructure, and economy. It will also cover the fundamental principles and algorithms used to understand the structural properties and dynamics of networks. Finally, the workshop will introduce the audience to real-world network analysis through Python and Networks.

Bio: Kholood Albalawi Full- time data analyst in Taibah Valley, where Kholood is part of IoT and AI team and worked in different uses cases in different areas. Kholood received her master’s degree in data engineering 2019 from Taibah University and has many publications in AI and IoT
Abstract: This talk will shade the use of data analysis in real use cases and what are the starting points to analyse data. The presentation will outline What is data analysis, the Data analytic responsibilities, data analysis steps for a real use case, and exploring some real-world examples of using data analytics. The main objective of this talk is to fill the gap between the knowledge and practical use cases. Also, will explore some data analyst’s hacks.

Bio: Hotaf Aljuhani, is a senior at the University of Taibah where she is majoring in Computer Science. Her interest in artificial intelligence began during the summer of 2018. She started with Identifying Problem then Gathering Information after that she was able to develop solutions. Inspired by this experience, she started her way to learn more about AI including machine learning.
Najia Alharbi, is a student at Taibah University in the field of Computer Science. She holds a diploma with an honors degree. She has a passion for machine learning and she started developing her skills in that specific field since October 2019.
Abstract: The workshop objectives, is to expose the participant of the conference in emerging technologies in the areas of artificial intelligence. This workshop provides theoretical and practical foundation level training that enables effective participation in big data, data science, and other analytics projects. The techniques used are, The Cloud Vision API in the practical application phase of the workshop lets you understand the content of an image by encapsulating powerful machine learning models in a simple REST API. In the practical application, participants will send images to the Vision API and see it detect objects, faces, and landmarks which is a very useful tool to enrich tourism.
