FAQ

I don't identify as a woman. Can I still attend WiCV?

Yes, all genders are welcome to attend! Note however, all speakers and poster presenters will be people who identify as women, as our goal is to promote women in computer vision.

Does attending WiCV require registering for CVPR?

Yes. WiCV is a CVPR workshop, so your registration for it is handled via the CVPR website. Make sure your CVPR registration includes workshops.

Can anyone attend the poster session and the talks at the WiCV workshop?

Yes! The poster session and the talks are open to all CVPR attendees.

Does a WiCV accepted paper count as publication?

Yes, This year's workshop will offer the opportunity to publish accepted papers as workshop proceedings. Authors of submitted papers (full-papers) will be asked whether they agree to publish their paper. Note that solely papers containing new research will be considered for publication by the Conference Publishing Services. Please refer to participation guidelines for more details.

Can I submit a recently published paper to WiCV?

WiCV accepts submissions of previously published works, but only as extended abstracts for poster presentation. Note that these should not be considered for publication in workshop proceedings. You can submit the published paper adapted to follow our submission guideline (paper length and template) and let us know that it is a published work and you do not want it to be included in the proceedings (you will be prompted with questions about this during submission in CMT).

Is it still possible to submit a paper after the deadline?

Unfortunately, no. You can stay in touch with us for future events and follow the updates of our workshop via our facebook group.

I don’t have a paper, can I receive a travel grant?

No, we are able to give travel grants based on submitted papers.

I already received a travel grant from previous year's WiCV workshop, can I apply again?

Yes, but we give lower priority to last year's attendees who received a travel grant.

If I'm awarded a travel grant but I don’t attend the workshop, can I receive the grant?

No, you must attend the workshop in order to receive a travel grant. Please note, since WiCV 2020 is a virtual workshop, travel grants will be used t cover the registration fees.

I have two first-author submissions accepted to WiCV 2021. Can I be reimbursed for both of them?

Unfortunately, although you have two accepted papers, we only provide one travel grant per person.
