Hi, I'm Hanassa! 

The hands and heart behind Wicks Botanical Co. Creativity has always lived inside me, but for many years, I lost access to that part of myself. Life, trauma, survival, and responsibility have a way of dimming the things that once felt natural. As I've moved through my healing journey, I slowly began returning to myself - not the version shaped by circumstances, but the one who existed long before them. 

Beading has become an essential part of that reconnection.

As an adult diagnosed with ADHD, beading allows me to calm my nervous system and be still. As a meticulous Virgo who strives for perfection, the detailed, intentional process satisfies something deep in my soul. And after years of suppression, the act of creating something delicate and permanent feels like a quiet act of rebellion - a reminder that beauty can be rebuilt 💙

Every flower you see here is handmade, bead by bead.

Every stem carries intention, patience, and love.

My favorite moment is assembling the arrangement - watching separate tiny pieces transform into something whole. It 100% mirrors my own personal life journey. My goal is for you to feel that energy when you hold one of these forever florals, or gaze at your bouquet - admiration, joy, and the sense that some things are meant to last forever. 

I'm also a mother to three beautiful daughters who love to craft beside me. Sharing creativity with them is one of the most healing parts of this work 🥰 In the evenings, after work and mothering, you'll almost always find me beading with a show on in the background, while the world quiets down. 

These pieces are more than decor. 

They are purposeful, handcrafted beaded petals for the soul.
