After new emails download, I click on one of the new emails and nothing displays in the preview except I can see who the email is from, the subject of the email and "To" and "Reply-To" lines. I'm using the "Side Preview" option in mail.
One after the other is like this. I can hide email, launch Safari and surf the web for a few minutes, come back to mail and then finally the messages will display. Sometimes there is no delay is the messages being visible in the preview window. Even have issues with emails I've already looked at but kept in the inbox taking minutes to display again in the preview window. I've tried rebuilding the mailbox which seems to help temporarily but then it acts up again.
Well I got home today from work and had 50-60 emails waiting for me. Everyone of them displayed the moment I clicked on them, so that is encouraging! I'll keep an eye on things over the next few days and see if this continues or if it goes back to having issues displaying emails and let you know.
We are in the early stages of rolling out O365 to our users. We have 1 user that is complaining that some emails taking a very long time to send. Just yesterday I did an uninstall and reinstall of Office. I did a test email from our internal email and I did a test with my personal external email. Both of those were sent and received with no issues. Today she showed me a couple examples of emails taking over 20 minutes to send. She is working from home but her connection seems up to par. Right now her mailbox is doing a lot of updating since I just reinstalled last night and we are in Cache Exchange mode. Her add-Ins are no different than what the rest of her office has. She is the only one with this issue. She has plenty of free space in her mailbox. We made her clean up a lot and we did some archiving at the beginning of this issue. I'm not sure what else to try.
Are the mails sitting in her Outbox in Outlook for a long time or does it leave the Outbox in a reasonable time and then take long to get to the recipient? If the latter you can run a Message Trace and see the exact timing of each step as it goes through the sending process.
The emails are sitting in her Outbox. She also had the same issue when we were on 2016. Part of the reason we moved her to 365 was to fix this issue. We are rolling it out to to our different offices in waves. I haven't compared it to OWA yet but her phone gets the emails in a timely manner. As she was communicating with me this evening, my emails were taking between 20 and 30 minutes to get to her desktop Outlook, but they showed up on the phone just fine.
We have set up email verification for our internal town halls - however there is a long delay in the access code email/verification email being sent to users (and they are not going to spam/junk either) - not sure if anyone else has experienced this and if it is an issue with our firewall or with slido?
A friend and I both have been taking a lot longer than we expected to receive a verification email (we both bought) and we're both at least 5 hours from when we first requested it. Did the obvious add email to contacts, delete cookies, and check junk and still nothing.

Basically if I telnet to localhost port 25 and then I try to send an email from there the response from the server is super slow. The mail application we have running there is taking more than 8 minutes to send 4 emails.
Has anyone confronted this issue before with EXIM and maybe you might now what is the setting that is making EXIM wait so long for something. I am looking at the logs and I cannot see anything indicative of an error. Below a sample of the mainlog:
Exim may be configured to do an ident lookup on incoming email. For a long time this defaulted to a 30 second timeout - I'm not sure if this is still the case. Delaying mail slightly helps a lot with spammers I've found (naive spammers will push the mail anyway, which then lets you trigger on protocol violation errors), so it's worth doing still IMO.
I'm using Mailgun for a site I maintain, usually Mailgun works great, but I am encountering a strange problem. My script calls the HTTP API to send messages using Mailgun, these then show up in my log as being "accepted", but then take a very long time to be "delivered", often failing to be delivered at all and simply remaining as "accepted". Has anyone experienced a similar error or could anyone suggest a way to fix it? I'm guessing it's in the arguments supplied to the API but I can't for the life of me figure out the problem.
If Sender Score shows a score in the 70s, that's your problem. Send Mailgun a support ticket, as Chris suggested, and see if they can get you onto a higher quality IP address. I did so and my emails are now being sent from an IP address with a score in the 90s. Haven't had a single delay since.
The reason why emails are not delivering when sending to the domain name is due to no Routes being on the account. As a note, Flex plans cannot create routes; only Foundation and higher plans may use this feature.
For some time now I open my inbox and emails are partially uploaded. Sometimes taking ages to download the full email. It sometimes doesn't download them at all saying there is a problem with the server. I have just tried to have a conversation with customer service and was cut off. The person had my phone number to phone me back just in case we got cut off but of course he hasn't bothered! . Has anyone else had this issue and if so how was it resolved. If I go into the website for sky or yahoo my emails are all perfectly there! Thanks
@Mark39 The 2 support techs were not aware of the issue so were not able to help in the end. They were going to escalate. In the meantime i've decided to use emails on the yahoo app. Thanks for your help.
This is most likely due to back-tracking. I am not very good with Regex, can someone help me reduce the time it takes to process an email. E.g. it must have letter(s) then @ then letter(s) then . then letter(s) and must not be too long.
I see others suggest ^\S+@\S+\.\S+$ like solutions, which is a good idea, just make sure you understand that \S matches any char other than whitespace (not just letters). Besides, this does not actually provide the final solution since "must not be too long" condition is not met (+ matches from 1 to quite many occurrences, that is why it is described as 1 or more).
Why is it that comcast email system takes forever to load to even get my inbox? It always seems to take a very long time no matter what time of the day I access it. Thankfully I only use it as a backup email system because of how slow it is. I have accessed it on and off the comcast network and it is always "dog slow" no matter where I am trying to get to it. Other email systems are much faster with loading and overall operation.
