Welcome to Winthrop Harbor's Summer Fair

We're so excited to invite you to the Winthrop Harbor's Summer Fair. This fair is an annual gathering of the community coming together to enjoy music, food, libations, entertainment, local vendors, and each other.

This event serves as a end to summer! Our Parks & Recreation Department organizes the Summer Fest to give back to the Winthrop Harbor community in one of the best ways possible - a giant community party!

Friday, Sept 12th 7pm-11pm

Jonny Lyons and the Pride travel all over the Midwest taking you on a journey back in time playing hits from the 50's, 60's, and 70's.

Fast Times

Saturday, Sept 13th 7pm-11pm

Fast Times is the #1 award winning 80s concert experience band from Los Angeles CA hired by the biggest companies in the world.

Summer Fair Fireworks

Saturday, Sept. 13th 9:00pm

Fair-goers will be able to enjoy spectacular fireworks that are sure to wow the crowds on Saturday, Sept.13, 2025. In the event of inclement weather, Winthrop Harbor Summer Fair's fireworks will be held the following night at dusk.

The Angry Squirrels

Sunday, Sept. 14th 3:00pm

New this year on Sunday at Summer Fair is a live band that will be performing on stage is The Angry Squirrels. They are a local band that travels throughout Lake County and Wisconsin playing Classic Hard Rock and Heavy Metal.

Trivia Night

Hosted by Dana McCarthy & Sponsored by Community365

Come with a group of friends, family or come alone for a fun night out at the Fair. Dana McCarthy will be hosting Trivia Night Thursday, September 11th by the Summer Fair stage. Everyone of all ages is welcome to join

Check-in at 6:30PM & Trivia begins at 7PM.

SEPT 13TH

Craft & Vendor Show

Come out and join us for our 3rd annual Summer Craft & Vendor Show this year on Saturday, Sept. 13th from 12-5pm. The craft show will be located outside near the Green Concession building. Shop local and support your community crafters and small businesses! There will be many well crafted home décor items, home-made jewelry, T-shirts, tumblers, paintings, and so much more!

Summer Fair Contests

Hosted by the Winthrop Harbor Pageant Queens.

Three contests will take place: Cutest Baby, Cutest Dog, and Watermelon Eating Contest.

The Contests will take place on Saturday, Sept 13th, on the Summer Fair stage. Each contest has a $5 entrance fee.

All Contestants will meet by the Green Concession building at their designated time. Please arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the start time.

Talent Show

Hosted by Miss Iroquois Teen, Delaney McCarthy

If you've got a special talent, here's your chance to shine! We are looking for all ages & all types of acts.

Miss Iroquois Teen, Delaney McCarthy has brought back the talent show to the Summer Fair for the 2nd year as part of her community service initiative - Play it Forward.

The Talent show will be held on Saturday, Sept. 13th from 3:30PM to 5PM on the Summer Fair Stage.
