Things to Remember
NHS is a student organization.
This means that…
All communication goes out to the students. Other than the normal means of communication, notifications of deadlines and notices of opportunities for community service are sent to NHS members only through schoology emails.
If you would like to know what is being sent to members, ask your NHS student, check ENews, or look at the NHS website.
It is the student’s responsibility to…
Attend all club meetings, attendance is taken
Communicate with the officers and advisors BEFORE conflicts arise
Complete all of their hours on time
Fill out all of their paperwork on time
Deadlines are final. No appeals or exceptions.
If your student is not accepted to NHS, it DOES NOT ruin their life. Plenty of successful people never joined the National Honor Society.
Students can be removed from National Honor Society for not following the law or breaking school rules.
