Membership Requirements

For Prospective Members

Enrollment/Grade requirements are based on an excellent disciplinary record and the average of the last three semester grades, in French only, according to the following criteria:

        IF CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN:                                  STUDENT NEEDS AN AVERAGE OF:

         French III                                                                          95 or better

         French III Advanced/Pre-IB                                         92 or better

         French AP or French IB                                                 88 or better

Application forms will be available in January and the Induction ceremony usually takes place in February. 

Only current Sophomores and Juniors are eligible to apply if they meet the requirements. 

Transfer students must have spent one full semester in the French program at Westwood High School before becoming eligible provided they are a sophomore in a level 3 course or higher and have taken French at their previous school.

Membership Requirements:

- Come to our monthly general meetings.

- failure to attend two meetings will have you placed on absence probation (plus 1 point deducted per missed meeting)

- failure to attend a third meeting will result in your removal from the club

- Earn at least five points per semester, until you have 10 or more points.

- failure to earn at least five points over the course of a semester will have you placed on probation

- failure to earn at least five points during a second semester while on point probation will result in your removal from the club

- you can remove yourself from point probation by earning more than five points in a subsequent semester (or more than three in the subsequent marking period)

-  Maintain an excellent disciplinary record.
