The last two years have been long, and tiring, and the promise we saw heading into the 2019-2020 school year still haunts us. Most of our club body has never attended the state convention, or classics day; our activities have been solely online, our participation very strictly minimal. I, the editor, am glad I had the chance to see some of the wider JCL before quarantine struck. Some of my classmates might never have that chance.
But through everything, we've kept creating. From the AMICIS skit last November to the many pieces of artwork; essays, poems, stories, crafts—we've kept creating. And we're going to keep creating with ferocity. This year especially.
The beginning of the year is always slow (hard to get things going right out the gate), but the WHS Latin Club has been working since June to prepare for the 2021-2022 school year. Our new leadership, many of them returning members, will pick up right where the old left off, and keep running. To the new members in our ranks, welcome! To the returning, welcome back. And to both the old and the new, I wish a very happy November.

Magistra DeCamp
For the months of September and October, we choose to highlight the illustrious Magistra DeCamp, who answers Latin Club emails all summer, arranges our convention material, and reads our horrible Latin compositions. For being an extraordinary teacher and dealing with the most unruly classes, Magistra, we offer you our thanks.
Keep up with all the WHS Latin news, and our plans for the coming month! We have several activities planned coming into this October, including card-making, book events,
