Boosters

The Westmont High School Sentinels Athletic Booster Club was founded in December of 1984, with the purpose of encouraging and promoting the athletic program of WHS. It provides a channel through which the school can interpret its programs and needs to parents and through which the parents can make their needs and wishes known to the school.

To that end, the Booster Club is made up of athlete parents who pay annual dues for their membership. We are a completely volunteer organization. The Booster Club has an elected Executive Board as well as Committee Chairs who work to raise funds and support the athletic program of WHS.

The WHS Athletic Booster Club supports the entire HS athletic program. Through various fundraising efforts, we are able to provide financial support for items not included in the school's athletic budget. These items include but are not limited to: paying for summer camps, purchasing new equipment, providing athletic awards and sponsoring a senior athletic banquet where we award two $500 scholarships for senior athletes.

Fundraising

Our fundraising efforts include:

Concession stand for some home athletic events, HS play and musical as well as some community events
Spirit wear sales- The Booster Club is the primary source for all WHS spirit wear sales including sweatshirts, tshirts, etc
Memberships-Join the Boosters. We encourage athlete's support group to become members. You will receive a discount to home games
Festival of Fun- Winter raffle and dinner. We collect raffle items/baskets from all who want to donate and change up concession to a slightly heartier dinner
Sponsorships- we recruit and encourage the involvement of the commUNITY to sponsor the soon to be adults of Westmont
50/50 Raffle-We offer split the pot raffle at various home events throughout the year

Funded items

Each year the Booster Club entertains ideas on items our athletic department could use. Ideas/items are discussed at our monthly meetings. These items are suggested by any member of the Booster Club, the Athletic Department and athletes. Two consistently sponsored programs are the Senior Athletic Banquet with 2 $500 scholarships as well as the Coaches Wish List📋

These chairs were purchased for gymnasium games for our home team. While we did have chairs previous to these, we updated to the new one so we could have comfortable seating for both teams. With this for home, the old ones were moved to the visitor's team instead of basic folding chairs. Now all players can have a bit of comfort in between power plays.
