Welcome! I have been instructing Art courses for 20 years. Earning a BFA in painting and drawing from SIUC and attending SIUE to acquire a K-12 Visual Art license, I have skills in both creating Art as well as teaching Art. Having instructed beginning and advanced Art students, I am honored to continue the legacy of the program at WHS. I believe Art is in everything and that the creative process is essential to all learning.
Outside of school, I enjoy running, reading, playing guitar, and other creative side projects. An avid follower of news and current events, I have drawn editorial cartoons for over a decade for a variety of publications. I often freelance graphic design for several local businesses and organizations. I am a lifelong Waterloo resident with two young children, a girlfriend Stephanie, and dog Susie. I love being a part of our community.
Over the Summer of 2021 & 2022, I had the privilege of being the recipient of the City of Waterloo's Mural Contest. My designs can be seen on the north side of Main Street Music, Rural King, and Stubborn German
