We are an active group in the Department of Zoology at University of Delhi. Our aim is to understand wound healing mechanisms in different animal models and utilize them for translational application using multidisciplinary approach. Our major interest lies in understanding the extracellular vesicle signalling during various phases of wound healing: response, inflammation, proliferation, and remodelling. Some of the areas that we are currently working on are:
1. Cytoskeletal remodelling during wound healing.
2. Role of extracellular vesicles (EVs) signalling during phases of wound response in Caenorhabditis elegans.
3. sRNA-mediated silencing of virulence factors of wound-associated pathogenic bacteria.
4. Exploring the role of probiotics in combating wound-associated AMR bacteria.
5. Fabricating probiotic outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) incorporated hydrogels for accelerating wound healing.
