"Family adventures aren't just about the places we go; they're about the memories we make, the laughter we share, and the unbreakable bonds we forge."
Mexico City: Dad & the Boys Conquer Mid-Winter Break!
February 18-23, 2025
While Mom was bravely battling the Twin Tornado back home, Dad was leading Landon and Dylan (and their enviable appetites for adventure) on a whirlwind tour of Mexico City! Mid-winter break was officially in full swing, and the agenda was packed with family, fútbol, and fantastic fun.
Family Fiesta: Cousins & Chaos!
First and foremost, this trip was about reconnecting with family. Cousins, aunts, uncles – the whole crew! The boys were immediately immersed in a world of Spanish chatter, shared laughter, and delicious home-cooked meals. It was a beautiful reminder of the importance of family bonds, and the boys soaked up every moment.
Cruz Azul Craze: Stadium Snacks & Soccer Screams!
No trip to Mexico City would be complete without experiencing the passion of Liga MX! Dad and the kids snagged tickets to a Cruz Azul match, and the atmosphere was electric. The stadium was a sea of blue, the chants were deafening, and the boys were completely captivated.
But let's be real, the stadium snacks were a highlight in themselves! Forget your standard hot dogs and popcorn. Dad and the kids dove headfirst into a world of esquites (corn with chili, mayo, and cheese), tacos al pastor, and churros that were still warm from the fryer. Landon and Dylan cheered their hearts out, learned a few new Spanish phrases (mostly related to scoring goals!), and left the stadium with hoarse voices and full bellies.
Kid-Friendly Adventures: Trampolines & Tiny Careers!
Of course, no kid-centric vacation is complete without a healthy dose of pure, unadulterated fun. Dad and the kids hit up a massive trampoline park, where the boys bounced, flipped, and defied gravity for hours. It was a glorious explosion of energy, and Dad may have even joined in for a few (slightly less graceful) jumps.
Then came KidZania, a miniature city where kids can try out different professions. It was like stepping into a real-life simulation game! Landon and Dylan became firefighters, chefs, doctors, and even news anchors. But the most unique experience? They became inspectors for Pemex, Mexico’s national oil company! Dad and the kids learned about safety protocols and how to inspect equipment, making sure everything was running smoothly. They got to wear hard hats and carry official inspection tools, truly feeling like they were contributing to the city's infrastructure. They learned about teamwork, responsibility, and the sheer joy of pretending to be grown-ups. It was an incredibly unique and engaging experience, and a fantastic way for them to explore their interests.
This mid-winter break wasn't just a vacation; it was an adventure. It was about creating lasting memories, strengthening family ties, and experiencing a culture that was both exciting and welcoming. Landon and Dylan returned home with a newfound appreciation for their heritage, a collection of awesome souvenirs, and enough stories to fill a year's worth of show-and-tell.
And let's be honest, Dad returned with a few extra pounds from all those incredible stadium snacks, but it was totally worth it. Now, to start planning our next epic adventure…!
From Magical Bridges to Foam Bath Art: A Mid-Winter Break to Remember with Owen & Evan
February 20, 2025
Mid-winter break. It's that glorious stretch of time where the school bell stops ringing, and the chaos dial gets cranked to eleven. This year, it was a tale of two adventures: one south of the border, the other firmly planted in the land of twin-induced pandemonium.
My husband, bless his adventurous soul, whisked our older boys off to Mexico City for an "epic cultural immersion." Meanwhile, I was left to navigate the wilds of mid-winter break with Owen and Evan. Let's just say, "epic" took on a whole new meaning.
Day 1: Magical Bridge & Cardboard Carnage
We kicked things off with a pilgrimage to the legendary Magical Bridge Playground. If you've never witnessed the sheer joy of a child navigating a playground designed for everyone, you're missing out. Owen and Evan were in their element. We swung, we climbed, we explored every nook and cranny. But the real highlight? The hill.
Let's be clear: this wasn't just any hill. This was a cardboard sledding hill. I armed myself with a stack of flattened boxes (thanks, Amazon!) and watched as my little daredevils launched themselves down the slope, shrieking with laughter. We spent a solid hour perfecting our cardboard technique, resulting in a glorious mess of shredded cardboard and pure, unadulterated glee. My laundry basket is still recovering.
Day 2: Happy Hollow Happiness & Crooked Chaos
Next up: Happy Hollow Park & Zoo! A perfect blend of furry friends and thrilling rides. We oohed and aahed at the adorable meerkats, giggled at the monkeys, and then proceeded to ride the carousel approximately 17 times.
But the real star of the show? The Crooked House. It's a disorienting, gravity-defying maze of wonky rooms and slanted floors. Watching Owen and Evan attempt to walk a straight line while dissolving into fits of laughter was pure comedic gold. I also may have bumped into a wall or two myself.
The Reno Retreat: Snow, Splashes, and Sudsy Art
With the Bay Area adventures complete, we packed our bags and headed to Reno for the rest of the week. Time to embrace the winter wonderland!
Snowball Showdowns & Sledding Shenanigans: We spent hours building snow forts, engaging in epic snowball battles (I may have taken a few direct hits), and zooming down snowy hills on sleds. Owen and Evan, despite their small stature, proved to be formidable snow warriors.
Pool Paradise: After a day in the snow, nothing beats a warm dip in the hotel pool. We splashed, we swam, and we pretended to be mermaids (or, in their case, "shark-mermaids").
Bathtub Art Attack: And for the grand finale? Foam wall art! I armed them with cans of colorful bath foam, and they transformed the bathtub into a canvas of swirling, sudsy masterpieces. Clean up was…interesting. But the sheer joy on their faces was worth every slippery, soapy second.
The Verdict?
While my husband's Mexico City adventure sounded undeniably amazing, my mid-winter break with the twins was its own kind of epic. It was a whirlwind of laughter, chaos, and pure, unadulterated fun. Sure, I'm exhausted, my house is a disaster, and I'm pretty sure I'll be finding cardboard shreds for months to come. But the memories we made? Priceless.
Two Wheels, Four Kids, Endless Adventures: Our Bay Area Biking Exploration Begins!
February 1, 2025
Let's be honest, folks. We've hit that point. You know the one. The "we've-done-everything-within-a-50-mile-radius" point. Playdates? Check. Zoos? Check. Children's museums? Double-check (and we can recite the dinosaur exhibit by heart). Our four amazing kiddos have officially conquered the local kid-friendly universe. So, what's a family to do when you've exhausted all the usual suspects? We bought bikes!
Yes, you heard that right. We've traded in our Model X mayhem for two-wheeled thrills. And let me tell you, it's been an adventure from the get-go. Picture this: four shiny new bikes lined up in the garage, helmets gleaming in the afternoon sun, a palpable sense of excitement (mixed with a healthy dose of parental apprehension), and the incessant ding-ding-ding of bike bells that threaten to drive me slightly insane.
Our mission? To explore the hidden gems of the Bay Area and beyond, one scenic trail at a time. Our inaugural ride was… well, let's just call it a "learning experience." There were wobbly starts, a few minor tumbles (mostly by yours truly), a chorus of "Are we there yet?" echoing through the trees, and the constant ding-ding-ding of the aforementioned bike bells. Seriously, I'm pretty sure they multiplied while we were out there. Each boy had his own unique bell melody (or lack thereof – Owen's seemed to be permanently stuck on "rapid fire"), creating a symphony of dings and dongs that rivaled any ice cream truck jingle.
Landon, with his newfound cycling confidence, zipped ahead, eager to conquer every hill (and ring his bell triumphantly at the top). Dylan, ever the competitor, turned our leisurely ride into a mini-Tour de France (complete with dramatic bell-ringing whenever he overtook one of his brothers). And Owen and Evan? They discovered the joys of "scooting" when the pedaling got tough (which, let's be real, was often), all while providing a constant soundtrack of ding-ding-ding that echoed through the valleys.
So, if you see a slightly chaotic caravan of cyclists weaving its way through the Bay Area trails, chances are it's us. Come say hi! Just maybe bring some earplugs. And if you have any recommendations for kid-friendly biking spots (preferably ones with minimal bell-ringing), please send them our way. We're just getting started on this two-wheeled journey, and we can't wait to see where it takes us. Who knows, maybe we'll even venture beyond the Bay Area someday. The possibilities, like the open road (and the endless ding-ding-ding), are endless!
Incredible Milestones: 100 & 1,000 Days of School!
January 27, 2025
It feels like just yesterday we were packing lunches and nervously waving goodbye on the first day of school. Now, we're already celebrating some HUGE milestones for Owen, Evan, and Landon! Get ready for a triple dose of awesome, because we've got 100 days, 1000 days, and a whole lot of learning to celebrate!
First up, a massive high-five to Owen and Evan for reaching the 100-day mark! Can you believe it? 100 days of new friends, exciting discoveries, and probably a few lost lunchboxes along the way. They've conquered the ABCs, mastered counting to (at least!) 100, and learned the crucial skill of sharing (most of the time!). We're so proud of their progress and all the fun they've been having. I'm pretty sure they've learned more in these 100 days than I learned in my first year of… well, anything! Okay, maybe not quite that much, but it's definitely impressive! They even had a 100th-day celebration at school, complete with crazy hats and enough sugar to keep them buzzing for another 100 days!
And now, the really big news! A drumroll, please… drumroll… Landon has officially reached 1,000 days of school! That's right, one thousand! That's a truly incredible achievement and a testament to his dedication to learning. Think of all the knowledge he’s absorbed, the friendships he's forged, and the challenges he's overcome. From finger painting to fractions, story time to science experiments, Landon has embraced it all with enthusiasm. We've watched him grow not just academically, but also into a confident and curious learner. He’s a role model for his younger brothers (and sometimes a source of excellent homework help!). We celebrated this momentous occasion with… well, let's just say there were balloons, cake, and maybe a slightly embarrassing "1000 Days Smarter" banner. He totally deserved it!
It's amazing to see how much all three of them have grown this school year. From tiny tots to budding scholars, they're constantly surprising us with their intelligence and creativity. We're so grateful for their amazing teachers and all the support they receive at school. And of course, a big thank you to all of you, our family and friends, for your continued love and encouragement.
Warning: Extreme Levels of Brotherly Love (and Chaos)!
January 2, 2025
The holiday haze is starting to clear, the decorations are slowly making their way back to the attic, and the inevitable "back to school" countdown has begun. But before the textbooks and teachers reclaim our lives, my four little dudes decided to squeeze every last drop of fun out of their break. And let me tell you, they did it with gusto.
First up: Park Pandemonium! Picture this: a whirlwind of swinging, sliding, and shrieking (mostly of joy, I swear!). Landon, the seasoned big brother, showed off his impressive climbing skills on the jungle gym, while Dylan, ever the daredevil, attempted (and mostly succeeded) some seriously impressive skateboard tricks. Owen and Evan, the pint-sized partners in crime, ruled the sandbox, building magnificent (and slightly lopsided) sandcastles. I'm pretty sure they ingested half the sand, but hey, that's part of the adventure, right?
Next on the agenda: Arcade Mania! Forget quiet contemplation, this was a symphony of flashing lights, beeping sounds, and the clatter of falling tickets. The boys were in their element. Landon, with his strategic mind, conquered the air hockey table. Dylan, with his lightning-fast reflexes, dominated the racing games. And Owen and Evan? Well, they discovered the joys of the claw machine, although their attempts to snag a plushie resulted mostly in hilarious frustration (and a few strategically placed "helpful" nudges from yours truly). We left with pockets full of tickets, a mountain of sugar-induced energy, and smiles that stretched from ear to ear.
But the real magic happened back at home. Forget fancy vacations or extravagant outings. The highlight of their break? Pickleball in the backyard! Yes, you read that right. My four little warriors, armed with oversized paddles and a neon green wiffle ball, transformed our patio into a pickleball arena. The rules were… let's just say "flexible." The scoring was… well, let's not even go there. But the laughter? The sheer, unadulterated joy of four brothers battling it out on the court? Priceless.
These past few weeks have been a reminder that the best memories aren't made with expensive gifts or elaborate plans. They're made with simple moments, shared laughter, and the unbreakable bond of brotherhood. As the school bells start to chime, I know these boys will carry these memories with them, a little pocketful of sunshine to brighten even the dreariest of homework days. And me? I'll cherish these moments too, because let's face it, before I know it, they'll be all grown up and chasing their own adventures. So, here's to brotherly bliss, backyard pickleball championships, and the sweet, fleeting moments of childhood.
Brain-Boosting Fun at The Tech Interactive: Where Socks Are the Ultimate Footwear!
December 28, 2024
While the allure of endless screen time was strong, I was determined to inject some brain-boosting fun into our vacation. So, we packed up the crew and headed to The Tech Interactive in San Jose! With its mind-blowing exhibits and hands-on activities, it was the perfect place to ignite my boys' curiosity and unleash their inner scientists.
The kid were practically vibrating with excitement as we walked through the doors. First up: the Tech Challenge Zone, where they tackled engineering challenges, built towering structures, and tested their problem-solving skills. Landon, my budding engineer, was in his element, designing a bridge that could withstand the weight of a (pretend) truck. Dylan, with his love of all things physics, was fascinated by the giant lever exhibit, experimenting with different weights and distances.
The twins, Owen and Evan, were captivated by the Body Zone, where they explored the inner workings of the human body. They giggled uncontrollably while racing their virtual selves on a giant screen and marveled at the intricate network of blood vessels in a giant heart model.
But the highlight of the day? Sock skating in Tech Challenge Zone! Yes, you read that right. The Tech has a special synthetic ice rink where you glide around in your socks. The boys were in absolute heaven, slipping, sliding, and laughing hysterically as they attempted to master their sock-skating skills. (Let's just say there were a few epic falls, but hey, that's all part of the fun!)
We spent hours exploring the various exhibits, from the earthquake simulator that had us all screaming to the virtual reality experience that transported us to another world. The Tech Interactive is truly a wonderland for curious minds, and my boys left with their brains buzzing and their imaginations ignited.
Twin Adventures in Playground Paradise! (While the Big Bros Were Busy Kicking Balls)
December 27, 2024
Ah, the joys of parenting multiple children! It often involves juggling schedules and finding creative ways to keep everyone entertained. This past weekend, while Landon and Dylan were busy honing their soccer skills at their weekly lesson, I took the opportunity to unleash the twins, Owen and Evan, on a magical playground adventure.
Now, this wasn't just any ordinary playground. This was a wonderland of swings, slides, climbing structures, and imaginative play areas that could rival Disneyland (okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but you get the idea). As soon as we arrived, Owen and Evan were off like rockets, their eyes wide with excitement.
First up, the swings! These weren't your average swings, mind you. We're talking swings that soared to incredible heights, swings that spun, and even a giant tire swing that could fit both twins and me (though I opted to observe from the safety of the ground). The air was filled with their delighted squeals as they reached for the sky.
Next, they conquered the climbing structures, navigating rope bridges, scaling walls, and sliding down fireman poles with the agility of little monkeys. They transformed into pirates on a ship, explorers in a jungle, and superheroes saving the day. Their imaginations knew no bounds!
But the highlight of their adventure? The sandpit! Armed with buckets, shovels, and an endless supply of imagination, they built castles, dug moats, and created entire sand cities. They were completely engrossed in their world, their little hands working tirelessly to bring their visions to life.
'Twas the Night Before Chaos! (aka Christmas Morning with My Wild Bunch)
December 25, 2024
'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house... not a creature was stirring, except for four little boys who were practically vibrating with anticipation! Okay, maybe I wasn't the picture of serenity either. Christmas morning magic is contagious, even for grown-ups!
My little elves were up before the sun, their eyes shining brighter than the star on top of the Christmas tree. The rustling of wrapping paper and excited whispers filled the air as they eagerly awaited the moment they could unleash their inner present-opening ninjas.
And then, it was go time! The floodgates opened, and a tidal wave of pure joy washed over the living room. Legos flew, cars zoomed, and planes soared through the air as the boys excitedly unwrapped their treasures. Landon, my budding engineer, dove headfirst into his massive Lego train set, already envisioning wild far away adventures. Dylan, with a mischievous grin, was tearing up the racetrack with his new remote control car.
The twins, Owen and Evan, were in Bluey heaven! Their eyes widened in delight as they unwrapped their Bluey Heeler 4WD and Bluey's Playground playsets. They immediately launched into imaginative play, their voices echoing with "Bingo!" and "Keepy Uppy!" It was pure, unadulterated Christmas magic.
Even I got caught up in the excitement, snapping photos and sharing in their joy. The living room was a whirlwind of activity, a symphony of laughter, excited shouts, and the crinkling of wrapping paper. It was pure chaos, and it was absolutely perfect.
Amidst the whirlwind of toys and excitement, I was reminded of the true magic of Christmas – the joy of giving, the love of family, and the wonder in a child's eyes. These are the moments that make all the stress and chaos of the holiday season worthwhile.
Nutcrackerpalooza! A Winter Break Painting Party That Totally Rocked!
December 24, 2024
Winter break was in full swing, and with pouring rain ouside and temperatures plummeting faster than Santa down a chimney, we needed an indoor activity that would keep my four energetic boys entertained. Enter: Nutcrackerpalooza! That's right, we transformed our dining room into a painting studio and let loose with a bunch of wooden nutcrackers just begging for a makeover.
My crew were practically bouncing off the walls with excitement. Armed with acrylic paints, glitter, and enough brushes to rival an art supply store, they were ready to unleash their inner Michelangelos (or maybe more like Jackson Pollocks, knowing these guys!). We prepped our workspace and set out a rainbow of paints. Each boy claimed a nutcracker and got to work. Landon, my meticulous artist, carefully planned his design, sketching it out in pencil first. He envisioned a majestic, regal nutcracker with a gold crown and a flowing red cape. Dylan, ever the free spirit, went full-on abstract, swirling colors and textures with abandon. His nutcracker ended up looking like a psychedelic rock star, which was totally awesome.
And the twins? These little guys are surprisingly adept with a paintbrush! Owen, with his focused concentration, painted his nutcracker in a series of bold stripes, creating a modern art masterpiece. Evan, a master of detail, meticulously added tiny dots of color, giving his nutcracker a dazzling, Seurat-inspired pointillist look.
The best part? There were no rules, no expectations, just pure, unadulterated creative fun. The room buzzed with energy, laughter, and the occasional shriek of "He's got more glitter than me!" (Competition is fierce in this house, even when it comes to glitter.)
By the end of our Nutcrackerpalooza, the dining room resembled a Jackson Pollock painting exploded, but the results were epic. We had a whole squad of unique and slightly deranged-looking nutcrackers, each a testament to the boys' creativity. They proudly lined them up on the mantelpiece, a colorful and quirky addition to our holiday decor.
Gingerbread Cookie Chaos: Unleashing the Holiday Spirit (and Sprinkles!)
December 23, 2024
The sugarplum fairies were clearly working overtime at our house this winter break! With school out and the holiday spirit swirling faster than a snow globe in a tornado, it was time for our annual Gingerbread Cookie Decorating Extravaganza! My four little elves were practically vibrating with excitement. And let's be honest, I was pretty pumped too. We transformed our kitchen table into a winter wonderland of sugary delights. Bowls overflowing with sprinkles, candies shimmering like jewels, and enough icing to build a gingerbread mansion – it was a sugar rush dream come true! Armed with piping bags and imaginations wilder than a reindeer on a sugar high, my little artists got to work.
Landon, my resident architect, meticulously crafted a gingerbread masterpiece complete with candy cane columns and a gumdrop roof. Dylan, channeling his inner Picasso, went abstract with swirling icing patterns and a sprinkle explosion that would make Jackson Pollock proud. And the twins? Well, let's just say they embraced the "more is more" philosophy. Their creations were a glorious, sticky mess of rainbow sprinkles, chocolate chips, and enough candy to induce a sugar coma.
The kitchen was a whirlwind of activity – icing flew, sprinkles rained down, and laughter echoed through the house. There were moments of pure genius ("Look, Mom, I made a gingerbread unicorn!") and moments of utter chaos (Evan, I'm still finding sprinkles in your hair!). But through it all, the magic of the holidays sparkled brighter than a Christmas tree.
Our finished creations were a sight to behold – a quirky, colorful, and slightly lopsided gingerbread family. We proudly displayed them on a platter, a testament to our afternoon of creativity and laughter. Of course, the "display" didn't last long. Those gingerbread cookies were devoured faster than you can say "Santa Claus"!
'Tis the Season for Sugar Rush: Gingerbread House Decorating with the Kids!
December 7, 2024
The holiday season is officially in full swing in our household! Today, we embarked on our annual tradition of decorating gingerbread houses, and let me tell you, it was an experience. Owen, my little icing enthusiast, seemed to think the candy was merely a garnish for the sugary white glue that held the house together. Landon, my budding architect, meticulously placed each gumdrop and candy cane with the precision of a seasoned professional. Evan, well, let's just say he embraced the abstract art form of "deconstructed gingerbread," scattering candy and icing with joyous abandon. And Dylan? He was simply living his best life, giggling, snacking, and occasionally adding a candy to his creation. Despite the chaos, the kitchen was filled with laughter, the sweet scent of gingerbread, and the undeniable magic of the holidays.
Gobble 'til You Wobble: Another Year of Turkey and Thanks in Palm Springs!
November 25-29, 2024
Thanksgiving in Palm Springs has become our family's quirky tradition, and this year was no exception! With Landon mastering the art of the cannonball, Dylan discovering his inner lizard by the pool, Owen and Evan creating a splash zone wherever they went, and the kids building a snowman out of play snow in the middle of the desert, the days were filled with laughter and sunshine. We kept some Thanksgiving tradition by deep frying a turkey poolside (because everything's better with a little splash of danger, right?), but swapped pumpkin pie for ice cream sundaes, and replaced football with epic water balloon battles. Who needs a formal dining room when you have sunshine, swimming, and sibling shenanigans? Palm Springs, you've once again turned our Thanksgiving into a gobble-worthy memory!
Zoppe Circus: The Greatest Show Under a Downpour!
November 11, 2024
This Veteran's Day was certainly one for the books! With the kids off from school, we decided to brave the pouring rain and head to the Zoppe Circus in Redwood City. We bundled up in our raincoats, grabbed an umbrella, and set off for an afternoon of fun. The circus tent was cozy and warm, and the smell of popcorn filled the air. We munched on our popcorn (and maybe a few too many treats!) while watching the amazing acrobats, hilarious clowns, and talented animals. Landon was mesmerized by the trapeze artists flying through the air, while Dylan couldn't stop giggling at the clown's silly antics. Owen was amazed by the dogs jumping through hoops and balancing on their hind legs, and Evan was captivated by the strongman lifting incredible weights. The rain was pounding on the tent, but it just added to the excitement and atmosphere. We even got splashed a few times when the tent shook from a particularly strong gust of wind, which made the kids shriek with laughter! Even though we were soaked by the time we got back to the car, the smiles on the kids' faces made it all worthwhile. This past weekend was a whirlwind of birthday fun for Landon's tenth! It all kicked off with a Lego-building extravaganza at home, where epic creations rose and Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots battled for supremacy. After conquering the Lego world, we headed out for a delicious birthday dinner and a yummy ice cream cake. The celebrations continued with an epic party at Westwind Barn with his school friends. Think mountains of BBQ, chips galore, and chocolate milk flowing like water! The kids burned off all that energy with soccer, four square, and video game battles in a super cool GameTruck (Minecraft and Mario Kart FTW!). Even our pugs, Doug and Marvin, got in on the action, sporting their party hats (almost!). Of course, no birthday is complete without another ice cream cake, which was the perfect ending to an action-packed weekend. Happy tenth birthday, Landon!

A Pug-tastic Halloween Adventure on Orange Ave! 🎃👻
October 31, 2024
This Halloween was a howling good time! Landon, Owen, and Evan were the cutest trio of pugs you ever did see, waddling down Orange Avenue in Los Altos with their adorable puppy dog eyes and squishy faces. Dylan, our fearless goal keeper, kept a watchful eye out for any spooky surprises while the pugs sniffed out the best candy treats. Their pumpkin buckets overflowed with goodies as they explored the neighborhood, giggling at the spooky decorations and shouting "Trick or Treat!" with enthusiasm. From friendly ghosts to glowing jack-o'-lanterns, the boys had a blast soaking up the Halloween spirit and making memories together.
The Great Pumpkin Patch Adventure: Inflatable Edition at ABC Tree Farm!
October 13, 2024
There's truly nothing quite like fall, especially when it involves a trip to a fun and exciting pumpkin patch! The crisp air, the vibrant colors, and the promise of pumpkin spice lattes – it just fills the soul with a cozy kind of joy. This past weekend, we embraced all the autumnal goodness with a visit to the ABC Tree Farm, and let me tell you, it was a day filled with laughter, adventure, and pumpkin-flavored everything! Landon, Dylan, Owen, and Evan were practically bursting with excitement as we pulled into the parking lot. With so many activities to choose from, the boys were spoiled for choice. But the highlight of our trip was definitely the incredible collection of giant inflatables. These things were bigger than life! Imagine towering slides, bouncy castles that stretched to the sky, and obstacle courses that would challenge even the most agile of ninjas. The boys were like little jumping beans, racing from one inflatable to the next, their delighted squeals echoing across the pumpkin patch. It was pure inflatable fun, and the perfect way to burn off some energy before picking out the perfect pumpkins. With rosy cheeks, tired smiles, and maybe a little bit of dirt on their clothes (a badge of honor for a day well spent!), the boys declared it the "best day ever!" And honestly, I couldn't agree more.
Spooktacular Fun: The Big Boo Event at Gilroy Gardens!
October 11, 2024
We recently embarked on a spooktacular adventure to Gilroy Gardens for their Big Boo event! Armed with our trusty pumpkin pails, we dove headfirst into a whirlwind of trick-or-treating fun. The boys were like little ghosts themselves, darting from station to station, their laughter echoing through the Gardens. Each candy score was met with excited shouts and comparisons of their growing loot. Between candy stops, we braved the Ghost Train, giggling nervously as we rounded each spooky corner. Of course, no trip to Gilroy Gardens is complete without a few spins on their classic rides, and the boys were thrilled to experience them with a Halloween twist! We soared through the air on the Strawberry Swing, spun like crazy on the Garlic Spinner, and took a wild ride on the Banana Split.
The Big Boo event was the perfect blend of spooky fun and family-friendly adventure. Seeing the boys' faces light up with each new experience was a treat in itself. From the friendly monsters to the festive decorations, Gilroy Gardens truly captured the spirit of Halloween. We finished the day with tired smiles, full bellies, and overflowing pumpkin pails – a recipe for a successful Halloween outing!
Double the Trouble, Double the Fun: Happy 5th Birthday Owen and Evan!
October 2, 2024

Can you believe it? Our dynamic duo, Owen and Evan, turn five years old today! It feels like just yesterday they were tiny babies, and now they're two little bundles of energy, mischief, and endless questions. From building epic Lego towers to conquering the backyard playground with their superhero capes flapping in the wind, these two bring endless joy (and a healthy dose of chaos) into our lives.
To make their special day even more amazing, I wrote a book all about a fun an awesome birthday backyard adventure where they embarked on a thrilling quest through the "Wild Grass Jungle," scaled the heights of "Mount Blanket," navigated a bubbly "Bubbling Brook," and even encountered a talking milk jug named Milky Milk! This morning, I had the pleasure of reading it to their TK class, and let me tell you, those kids were enthralled. (Though Owen and Evan were slightly embarrassed by all the attention, which of course made it even cuter.) We can't wait to celebrate the rest of their special day with cake, presents, and maybe even a little bit of mischief of our own. Happy birthday, Owen and Evan! May your day be filled with laughter, adventure, and all the things that make five years old so magical.
Webb Ranch: Where the Pumpkins are Plump and the Adventures are Plentiful!
September 29, 2024
Hold on to your hats, folks, because our trip to Webb Ranch Pumpkin Patch was a whirlwind of fun, laughter, and near-misses with rogue chickens! Landon, Dylan, Owen, and Evan were like little energizer bunnies on a sugar rush (probably fueled by the delicious ice cream cones we devoured - don't judge, it was organic!). They bounced in the bounce houses like popcorn kernels in a hot pan, navigated the haunted house with a mix of bravery and shrieks (mostly shrieks), and got gloriously lost in the corn maze (we may or may not have considered sending in a search party with snacks).
The farm obstacle course proved to be a true test of their ninja warrior skills, with daring leaps over hay bales and impressive crawls through tunnels (that may or may not have involved some accidental face-planting). After all that excitement, the tractor hay ride was a welcome respite, giving us a chance to catch our breath and admire the scenery (and try to discreetly remove stray bits of hay from our hair).
Of course, the highlight for the kids was the petting zoo. They were in absolute awe of the fluffy alpacas, the mischievous goats, and the surprisingly cuddly pigs (who knew?!). The reptile zoo was a bit more of a mixed bag, with some brave souls getting up close and personal with the snakes and lizards, while others (ahem, me) preferred to admire them from a safe distance.
And finally, no trip to the pumpkin patch would be complete without picking out the perfect pumpkin! After much deliberation, each child chose their prize gourd, with dreams of jack-o-lanterns and pumpkin pie dancing in their heads. It was a day filled with adventure, laughter, and maybe a little bit of chaos, but hey, that's what makes memories, right?
A Day on the Monterey Bay: Sweet Candy Adventures
September 21, 2024
Oh, what an amazing day! The sun beamed down on us like a warm smile as we embarked on an unforgettable adventure aboard Grandpa's beloved boat, "Sweet Candy." Dad was at the helm, his laughter echoing across the sparkling waves of the Monterey Bay. Landon, Dylan, and the twins Owen and Evan were practically bouncing with excitement! Their eyes widened with wonder as a magnificent whale breached the surface, sending a shower of shimmering droplets into the air. We sailed past the iconic lighthouse, its beacon winking playfully in the sunshine. The boys were captivated by the playful sea otters frolicking in the kelp forests and the graceful seabirds soaring overhead. Every moment was filled with pure joy and laughter. As the sun began to dip towards the horizon, painting the sky with breathtaking hues of orange and pink, the boys begged to know when they could return to "Sweet Candy" with Dad and Grandpa for more ocean escapades and fishing lessons.
From Art to Horses: A Day of Fun with the Boys
September 7, 2024
The sun shone brightly as Landon, Dylan, Owen, and Evan kicked off their adventure-filled day at the Mountain View Art and Wine Festival. Strolling through the vibrant booths, they marveled at the creative displays, even finding some adorable dog socks and quirky charms to personalize their Crocs. The boys' faces lit up as they explored a shiny red fire truck and took a thrilling ride on the train.
With the spirit of festivity still high, the boys then headed to the Los Altos Hills Hoedown at Westwind Barn. The crisp autumn air hung heavy with the sweet scent of funnel cake and cotton candy, further enhancing the magical atmosphere. Twinkling lights and colorful decorations transformed the fairgrounds into a wonderland, captivating the boys' imaginations. The infectious laughter of children mingled with the twangy tunes of country music, setting the stage for a day of pure joy.
Sticky fingers from ice cream and buttery popcorn couldn't distract them from the impressive horse shows, where majestic animals moved with breathtaking grace. The day unfolded into a treasure trove of laughter, delectable treats, and unforgettable moments, creating a cherished memory for all four boys. From art and wine to hoedown delights, it was a day that perfectly blended creativity, excitement, and the simple joys of childhood.

Cozumel Calling: A Ferry Tale with My Crew
August 9, 2024
Ahoy, adventurers! Today, we swapped sandy shores for turquoise waves as we hopped on a ferry from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel. With the wind in our hair and the sun on our faces, Landon, Dylan, and the twins Owen and Evan were ready for island fun! We strolled along the vibrant waterfront, where the boys collected seashells and chased after seagulls. Indulging in ice cream that melted faster than they could eat it, we laughed at their sticky faces and colorful mustaches. The twins, ever the explorers, discovered a hidden playground tucked away amidst the charming downtown streets. They swung, slid, and climbed until their cheeks were rosy with joy. Landon and Dylan, meanwhile, were captivated by the colorful murals that adorned the buildings, their imaginations running wild with stories of pirates and buried treasure. As the sun began to set, we danced to the lively music that filled the air, a perfect ending to a day filled with laughter, discovery, and memories we'll cherish long after we set sail back to the mainland.
Wild Times at Croco Cun Zoo: Crocodiles, Snakes, Monkeys, and More!
August 8, 2024
Who knew hanging out with crocodiles could be so much fun? Today's adventure took us to Croco Cun Zoo, where Landon, Dylan, and the twins Owen and Evan had a wild time! We fed baby crocs (with tongs, of course!), marveled at the massive size of the adult crocodiles sunning themselves, and even got to touch a giant boa constrictor (not for the faint of heart!). Landon was fascinated by the different species of crocodiles, from the Morelet's crocodile to the American crocodile, while Dylan loved watching them swim and snap their powerful jaws. The twins were in awe of every animal they saw, but the crocodiles definitely made the biggest impression.
But the fun didn't stop there! We got up close and personal with some other amazing creatures, too. The boys held snakes, giggling as they slithered around their arms. We fed gentle deer, petting their soft fur as they munched on treats from our hands. The highlight for the twins was feeding playful spider monkeys, their little hands reaching out for the fruit we offered. And we even got to feed turtles in a serene pond, their shells glistening in the sun.
Watching their faces light up with excitement as we explored the zoo, from the tropical bird sanctuary to walking through the crocodile habitat made this day awesome. Croco Cun Zoo was an unforgettable experience filled with adventure, learning, and plenty of laughter. It's a must-visit for any family in the heart of the Riviera Maya!
Chichen Itza & Beyond: A Family Adventure of Ruins, Cenotes, and Sweet Treats in Valladolid
August 7, 2024
Boys, ruins, cenotes, ice cream, and a whole lot of laughter—our Chichen Itza adventure was one for the books!
We started our day exploring the ancient Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza. Four energetic boys raced between towering pyramids, imagining themselves as kings and warriors. Landon and Dylan, our budding archaeologists, pretended to unearth hidden treasure at El Castillo, while the twins, always up for a challenge, turned the Great Ballcourt into their personal obstacle course.
After soaking up the history (and the sun!), we headed to Cenote Chukum for a refreshing swim. The boys shrieked with glee as they cannonballed into the crystal-clear water, their laughter echoing through the cavernous cenote. It was the perfect way to cool off and recharge after our morning of exploration.
Next, we ventured to the charming town of Valladolid. As we strolled through the colorful streets, the boys' eyes lit up at the sight of the main plaza. It was a lively scene, filled with locals and tourists alike, enjoying the warm evening air. But the real highlight for the boys was the ice cream and shaved ice vendors lining the plaza. They eagerly sampled a variety of flavors, from classic vanilla to exotic mango, their faces smeared with sticky sweetness.
As we headed back to our hotel, exhausted but exhilarated, I couldn't help but think: this is what family adventures are made of – a little bit of history, a whole lot of laughter, a splash of refreshing fun in a beautiful cenote, and the simple joy of sharing ice cream on a warm evening in a charming Mexican town. It's these moments, big and small, that we'll cherish forever.
Sun, Sea, and Smiles: A Family Getaway in Playa del Carmen
August 5-12, 2024

Our recent getaway to Playa del Carmen was a whirlwind of excitement, laughter, and unforgettable moments. From building sandcastles on the pristine beach to splashing around in the ocean waves, the boys were in their element. We indulged in delicious cuisine, explored the colorful streets of Playa del Carmen, and even took a thrilling catamaran excursion to Isla Mujeres. The variety of family-friendly activities in the area kept the little ones entertained with games, swimming, and exploration, while the adults enjoyed some much-needed relaxation time. Whether we were ziplining through the jungle, snorkeling in the turquoise waters, swimming in a cenote, or simply lounging on the beach with a refreshing cocktail, every day was an adventure. Playa del Carmen truly exceeded our expectations, providing the perfect blend of excitement, cultural immersion, and family-friendly fun. This vacation will forever hold a special place in our hearts as a time of laughter, bonding, and creating cherished memories.
Gilroy Gardens: A Dad's Adventure with Landon & Dylan (and a whole lot of fun!)
July 26, 2024
Holy garlic fries, what a whirlwind of a day we had at Gilroy Gardens! Landon and Dylan, the two little daredevils, transformed into sugar-fueled tornados the second they entered the park. They braved the Garlic Twirl (Dad may have squealed a bit), conquered the Artichoke Dip (Landon's giggles were contagious), and survived the Mushroom Swing (Dylan's victory dance was epic). After inhaling enough corn dogs to feed a small army, Dad and team embarked on a sugar-fueled exploration of the gardens. They dodged rogue water balloons in the Splash Zone, navigated a maze of giggling kids in the Circus Trees, and discovered a secret hideout in the Garlic Garden. Gilroy Gardens was an absolute blast – a chaotic, hilarious, and heartwarming adventure that dad and the boys will never forget.
A Golden Gate Getaway in Dad's Cybertruck!
July 19, 2024
What a day to remember! The kids piled into Dad's futuristic Cybertruck (aka Phantom) and cruised to the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. The boys were bouncing off the seats with excitement. We parked, took some epic family photos, and then let the real fun begin. Back at the truck, we stocked up on snacks from local vendors - chips, candy, and everyone's favorite, SunnyD. The back of the Cybertruck turned into our own personal picnic spot. After soaking up the sun and the stunning views, we treated ourselves to a sweet pit stop at a local ice cream shop. The boys giggled, slurped, and shared spoonfuls, making memories that'll last a lifetime. From the sleek ride to the sugary treats, this was a Dad-and-sons day we'll never forget!

The bowling alley provided friendly competition and lots of laughs, while the rope course challenged their agility and bravery. The wave pool and waterslides were a highlight, offering endless splashing and sliding fun. July 8-11, 2024
Holy Moly, Legoland California was a total blast with our little Lego maniacs! Landon, Dylan, and the twin tornados, Owen and Evan were bouncing off the walls with excitement. We zoomed through the air on Cargo Ace (which the boys declared the "best ride ever"), soared like eagles on Sky Patrol, and got up close and personal with some seriously cool dinosaurs in Dino Valley. We even cruised along the coast, rode in a Dino car, and spun like crazy on Bionicle Blaster (Landon and Dylan's absolute fave!). The twins couldn't get enough of the Carousel and Submarine ride, and we all had a blast battling our way through the Lost Kingdom Adventure. Landon discovered his inner daredevil on the Beetle Bounce, and we were all blown away by the incredible creations in Miniland. The day ended with a knightly showdown at the Royal Joust, where everyone got to channel their inner hero. We even built epic Lego creations in the pool. Legoland California was a whirlwind of Lego-powered fun and laughter, and we can't wait to go back!
From Camel Rides to Bird Watching: A Fun-Filled Family Outing at the Oasis Camel Dairy
July 7, 2024
A visit to the Oasis Camel Dairy in Ramona, CA was an unforgettable escapade for our family. We dove headfirst into the world of camels, feeding dozens of these gentle giants with apple sticks - their soft lips and eager munching brought smiles to our faces. But the fun didn't stop there! We got our hands soapy trying out the camel milk soap, known for its skin-loving properties, and giggled as we fed miniature sheep, their tiny mouths nibbling at our offerings. The vibrant colors of exotic birds flitting around the dairy added a touch of magic to the day.
The highlight? A thrilling camel ride atop Camelot! Landon, our fearless adventurer, led the charge, followed by Dylan and Evan. Even Dad couldn't resist joining in on the action. The swaying rhythm of the camel's gait and the panoramic desert views created a truly unique experience.
We left the dairy farm not only with hearts full of camel love but also with camel stuffies tucked under our arms and fragrant camel soap to remind us of our extraordinary day. It was more than a trip; it was a camel-tastic adventure that taught us about these incredible creatures and the wonders of the desert landscape.
Mom's Survival Guide: Surviving Zebra World with 4 Ninja Warriors in Training
June 29, 2024
Zebra World wasn't just an indoor playground – it was the training grounds for four pint-sized ninja warriors: Landon, Dylan, Owen, and Evan. Slides transformed into towering mountains, the ball pit became a swirling vortex of doom, and the trampoline morphed into a launching pad for gravity-defying stunts. These boys weren't just playing, they were conquering every obstacle, every twist, and every turn. With each ninja warrior move, their laughter echoed through the colorful tunnels, a testament to the epic battles being waged in their imaginations. Zebra World might have been filled with soft foam and bright lights, but for Landon, Dylan, Owen, and Evan, it was a jungle filled with endless adventure.
Sun, Sand, Screams, and Sweets: A Day of Family Fun at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
May 27, 2024
The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk was a whirlwind of fun for our family! From the screams of Landon and Dylan on the fast moving rides and Owen and Evan's heliopter kiddie ride to their arcade battles (Landon still claims he's the reigning skee-ball champ!), the day was packed with laughter. We built sandcastles on the beach (Owen's moated masterpiece was pretty impressive), conquered the mini-golf course (despite a few dramatic putts from Evan), and fueled our adventures with a delicious array of boardwalk treats (Dylan definitely had the biggest chocolate dipped ice cream cone!). As the sun set, our happy, exhausted crew left with sandy toes, sticky fingers, and a treasure trove of memories. The Boardwalk is truly a recipe for family fun, especially with four energetic boys!

Mount Rose turned into our own winter wonderland this weekend! Landon, Dylan, Owen, Evan, and I bundled up in our warmest gear and headed up to the mountain for a day of snowy fun. The boys transformed into little snow artists, sculpting a snowman family complete with carrot noses and stick arms, and creating snow angel masterpieces all over the fresh powder. We grabbed our sleds and zipped down the slopes, the boys' laughter echoing through the crisp mountain air. After a few hours of snowy shenanigans, we warmed up with hot cocoa and cookies in the lodge, reliving the day's thrills and planning our next snowy adventure.
Howling Good Times at Great Wolf Lodge: A Water Wonderland for Kids
December 21, 2023
The Great Wolf Lodge was an absolute hit with our four boys! From the moment we entered the sprawling indoor water park, their eyes lit up with excitement. Landon and Dylan, the oldest, couldn't get enough of the thrilling Howlin' Tornado water slide, their laughter echoing through the park as they zoomed down the giant funnel again and again. Meanwhile, Owen and Evan, still a bit too small for the big slide, had a blast splashing in the zero-depth Cub Paw Pool and conquering the smaller slides. We all enjoyed floating along the lazy river and riding the waves in the wave pool. Exhausted but happy, we ended our day with a delicious dinner at the Lodgewood Grill. The Great Wolf Lodge is truly a paradise for kids of all ages, and a guaranteed good time for the whole family.
Thanksgiving in the desert? You bet!
November 23, 2023
This year, we decided to ditch the no-season scenery of the SF Bay Area for a sunny Palm Springs escape with Landon, Dylan, Owen, and Evan. While it might seem unconventional, our Thanksgiving feast was anything but ordinary. We swapped the usual roasted turkey for a mouthwatering deep-fried version, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. And for dessert? A whimsical turkey-shaped ice cream cake that had the boys giggling with delight. But beyond the delicious food, the true magic of the holiday was found in the simple moments spent together as a family. We lounged by the pool, explored the local shops, and shared stories under the starlit desert sky. In this unique setting, we found ourselves reflecting on the many blessings in our lives, feeling truly thankful for each other and the incredible experiences we shared. It may not have been a traditional Thanksgiving, but it was undoubtedly one we'll cherish forever.
Sticky Fingers and Crumbling Walls: Our Gingerbread House Escapades
November 23, 2023
Thanksgiving break this year was filled with laughter and a healthy dose of gingerbread chaos! Landon, Dylan, Owen and Evan decided to tackle a festive gingerbread house project. Armed with icing, candy, and ambitious designs, we set to work. The kitchen quickly transformed into a sugary construction zone, but our gingerbread houses had a mind of their own. Walls refused to stay upright, roofs caved in, and candy decorations slid off with a mind-numbing regularity. Despite the structural challenges, we persevered, fueled by holiday cheer and copious amounts of frosting. While our gingerbread houses may not have been architectural marvels, the memories we made were priceless.
Sprinkles, Frosting, and Family Fun: A Thanksgiving Baking Adventure
November 22, 2023
Thanksgiving break kicked off with a sugar-fueled explosion of fun in the kitchen! Landon, Dylan, Owen, Evan, and I transformed into holiday baking elves, ready to tackle a mountain of sugar cookies. Armed with sprinkles, frosting, and boundless enthusiasm, we dove headfirst into decorating. The kitchen quickly resembled a Jackson Pollock painting, with colorful frosting splatters adorning every surface. The boys took their decorating duties very seriously, crafting cookies shaped like turkeys, pilgrims, and even a few abstract masterpieces. Laughter filled the air as frosting fights broke out and sprinkles flew through the air. By the end of the day, we were covered in sugar and flour, but our hearts were full of holiday cheer and the satisfaction of creating edible works of art (and a whole lot of mess!).
Brushes, Paint, and Pure Imagination: An Art Day to Remember
November 21, 2023
The art studio, aka my dining room table, transformed into a whirlwind of color and creativity as Landon, Dylan, Owen, and Evan unleashed their inner Picassos onto canvases. With a kaleidoscope of paints at their disposal, the boys fearlessly experimented with brushstrokes, splatters, and even finger painting. Owen, the budding artist of the group, showcased his innate talent with a mesmerizing abstract piece that captured the essence of his vibrant imagination. Landon, inspired by nature, crafted a landscape filled with lush green fields and a cerulean sky. Dylan's canvas exploded with a playful mix of shapes and patterns, while Evan's whimsical creatures danced across his masterpiece. Laughter and playful banter filled the air as the boys reveled in the sheer joy of creating art. Each stroke of the brush brought their imaginations to life, leaving behind a trail of color and a newfound appreciation for the magic that happens when creativity flows freely.
A Minion Takeover, a Pikachu on the Prowl, & a Soccer Star's Sweet Victory in Los Altos
October 31, 2023
Hold onto your candy corn, folks, because downtown Los Altos and Orange Street were the scene of an epic Halloween takeover! Four little legends – Landon, Dylan, Owen, and Evan – decided to ditch the superhero capes this year and embrace their inner goofballs. We're talking a Pikachu with a serious lightning bolt addiction, a couple of Minions who clearly raided Gru's closet, and a soccer player who dribbled straight into our hearts (and probably a few bushes). With candy buckets overflowing and energy levels that would put a Duracell bunny to shame, these trick-or-treating champions turned Los Altos into their personal playground. Rumor has it, they even taught a few bewildered homeowners the "Banana" song. Let's just say it was a night that won't soon be forgotten, filled with laughter, questionable dance moves, and enough sugar to fuel a rocket to the moon.
Webb Ranch Pumpkin Patch: A Fall Fiasco (or, How Four Kids Almost Lost Their Gourds)
October 1, 2023
The sun was shining, the leaves were crunching underfoot, and four little tornadoes were unleashed upon Webb Ranch Pumpkin Patch! The mission? Find the perfect pumpkins, and try not to cause too much chaos along the way. Spoiler alert: the chaos ensued.
The pumpkin patch became their battleground, with each kid determined to find the biggest, roundest, most orange-tastic gourd in existence. There were near misses with rogue wheelbarrows, a close encounter with a particularly grumpy-looking scarecrow, and a heated debate over whether a pumpkin could, in fact, be too orange (spoiler alert: it can't).
After much deliberation (and a few tears), the pumpkin-picking champions emerged victorious, each clutching their prized gourd like a trophy. A celebratory feast of ice cream cones followed, with chocolate drizzles and rainbow sprinkles adding to the festive atmosphere. The hayride was a bumpy adventure, complete with enthusiastic sing-alongs (slightly off-key, but full of heart) and a few close calls with low-hanging branches. The petting zoo was a whirlwind of fluffy cuteness, with the kids squealing with delight as they petted bunnies, dodged overly-friendly goats, and tried (unsuccessfully) to teach a chicken to shake hands.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, Landon, Dylan, Owen, and Evan left Webb Ranch, exhausted but exhilarated, their pumpkin treasures safely secured in the back of the car. It was a day filled with laughter, mischief, and a whole lot of pumpkin-flavored fun, a day that will be recounted (and embellished) for years to come.
From Rollercoasters to Water Slides: A Legoland Experience to Remember
June 20, 2023
Legoland was the ultimate playground for Landon, Dylan, Owen, Evan, and me last weekend! We dove headfirst into a whirlwind of fun, conquering every ride in sight – from the Dragon Coaster's thrilling twists and turns to the Coast Guard Academy's splash-tastic adventure. The boys were mesmerized by Miniland USA, where iconic landmarks from around the world were recreated in miniature Lego brick detail. The Sea Life Aquarium was a colorful underwater world, filled with sharks, rays, and playful sea creatures. Of course, no Legoland trip is complete without a visit to the waterpark, where we splashed and laughed our way through slides, pools, and water playgrounds. Our stay at the Legoland Castle Hotel was the icing on the cake, with themed rooms, nightly entertainment, and endless Lego-themed fun. It was a whirlwind adventure filled with laughter, thrills, and unforgettable memories that we'll cherish forever.
Dino-Mite Day at Cabazon Dinosaurs!
July 3, 2022
Roaring into the desert with our four wild adventurers, Landon, Dylan, Owen, and Evan, we stumbled upon a prehistoric paradise – the Cabazon Dinosaurs! These colossal creatures towered over us, sparking wide-eyed wonder and a flurry of "Rawr!"-ing. We climbed inside the belly of a giant T-rex, explored the dino-themed gift shop for treasures, and even went for a spin on the dinosaur-themed carousel. But the real highlight? Watching the boys' imaginations run wild as they chased each other around the legs of these massive beasts, pretending to be fearless explorers in a land before time. The Cabazon Dinosaurs were a ROAR-some surprise that turned our desert drive into a Jurassic joyride!
Double the Pugs, Double the Love: Our Furry Family Grows by Four Paws
April 14, 2022
Bringing home Doug and Marvin, our two new pug puppies, has been a whirlwind of laughter, love, and a whole lot of puppy chaos. Our four boys are smitten with their wrinkly faces and curly tails, showering them with cuddles and endless rounds of fetch. Life is definitely messier now, with chewed-up shoes and the occasional potty accident, but the joy these pugs bring is immeasurable. They've taught our boys valuable lessons about responsibility and unconditional love, and we can't imagine our lives without their snoring, snorting, and adorable pug antics. Doug and Marvin may be small, but they've filled our home with an abundance of happiness and reminded us all of the simple joys of life.
Love & Lobster Rolls: A Boston Wedding We'll Never Forget!
November 6, 2021
Our family adventure to Boston for Uncle Stanley and Aunt Paige's wedding was nothing short of amazing! Witnessing their beautiful ceremony in a charming church, followed by a truly unforgettable reception filled with love, laughter, and dancing, was an absolute joy. We couldn't help but feel the excitement and warmth radiating from the newlyweds and all their guests. With four energetic boys in tow, we managed to squeeze in some sightseeing around Boston, soaking in the city's rich history and vibrant atmosphere. From strolling through the cobblestone streets of Beacon Hill to indulging in delicious seafood at Quincy Market, every moment was a treasure. Our boys were particularly fascinated by the Freedom Trail, where they learned about America's revolutionary past. It was a whirlwind trip filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories, and we can't wait to return to Boston someday soon!
Four Boys, Endless Fun, and One Epic Day at Seacliff State Beach
May 15, 2021
Seacliff State Beach was the place to be this past weekend! Landon, Dylan, Owen, Evan, the hubs and I packed up the car with all the beach essentials and hit the road early to secure the perfect spot on the sand. The boys were like little worker bees, digging massive sand holes, constructing elaborate sand castles, and venturing out to the iconic shipwreck to explore its hidden nooks and crannies. Of course, a beach day isn't complete without a seemingly endless supply of snacks - chips, fruit, cookies, you name it! The boys devoured it all in between dips in the ocean and sandcastle construction breaks. As the sun began its descent, we gathered around a crackling bonfire, sharing stories of the day's adventures and toasting marshmallows for gooey s'mores. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day filled with laughter, sandcastles, and unforgettable memories at Seacliff State Beach.
Silly Walks and Big Birds: Our Ostrich Adventure
April 24, 2021
Our family's visit to the ostrich farm was an experience we won't soon forget! The boys were a mix of awe and nerves as we approached these giant, feathered creatures. Landon, the bravest of the bunch, eagerly offered them food pellets, while Dylan and Owen hung back, their eyes wide with a mix of fear and fascination. Even little Evan, usually fearless, clung tightly to my leg. We laughed as the ostriches gobbled up the treats, their long necks bobbing and their powerful beaks snapping shut. The photo op, however, was a hilarious fail. The ostriches, clearly not selfie enthusiasts, turned their heads, pecked at the camera, and even tried to nibble on Dylan's hat! Despite the chaotic photo session, we left with a newfound appreciation for these incredible birds and a whole lot of funny stories to tell.
