FollowBack processes Instagram usernames, follower and following relationships, and verification status to identify accounts that do not follow the user back. This information is processed locally within the user’s browser.

FollowBack does not collect Instagram passwords, authentication credentials, personal communications, financial information, health information, location information, or browsing history.

The extension stores the selected interface language and the most recently completed comparison locally using Chrome extension storage. No user data is transmitted to the developer, sold, shared, or transferred to third parties.

Users can delete locally stored results using the extension’s debug reset shortcut or by uninstalling the extension.

FollowBack uses the information only to provide its advertised follow-back comparison and selected-account functionality.
