Class B, C, D, E, F (800-1799) section: G/45' d5" (play only your ASSIGNED color against your paired opponent).

Under 800 section:  double rounds of G/25' d5" (play BOTH colors against your paired opponent).

Round times for lower two sections (under-1800 players):  8am, 10am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm -- please note that Round 1 is too early for some people!

Round times for top section (1800+)Rd 1 @ 9am, lunch until Rd 2 @ 1pm (no 3pm round), Rd 3 @ 5pm.

Request advance byes if you need to miss any rounds.

McMAHON PAIRING SYSTEM

Most recent monthly SUPPLEMENT ratings used; players may request to "play up" in 800-1799 section or in 1800+ section, IF current rating qualifies.

1800+ section: one half-point for every full 100 rating points above 1800 rating, e.g. 2034 rating = 2 half-points = 1 point to start.

800-1799 section:  one half-point for every full 100 rating points above 1000 rating; e.g. 1391 rating = 3 half-points = 1.5 points to start.

Under 800 section:  two (2) half-points, i.e. one full point for every full 100 rating points; e.g. 623 rating = 6 points to start.

One additional McMahon half-point for registering EARLY (usually one week ahead); two additional half-points for registering EXTRA early (usually two weeks ahead).

Up to two (2) half-point byes may be requested before the day of the event in the U800 and 800-1799 sections; only one half-point bye may be requested in the 1800+ section.  All later byes are zero points.

SPECTATORS HAVE NO SPECIAL PRIVILEGES

Parents may view their child's game from behind "their" player.  But please keep all discussions away from any games in progress.  If the players can hear you, you are standing too close!  According to the US Chess Rulebook, spectators have no special privileges and can be asked to leave the playing hall.
