Audition Info

There is NO audition required for Beginning Choir. For Advanced Mix levels—Concert Choir and Chamber Choir—please follow the screening procedures below. A final decision for placement will be made after sight singing which will be conducted face-to-face or via video chat.

** Most important thing right now is to sign up for any level of choir with your counselor. You will be placed in a correct level after the audition/video screening and sight singing is done with Ms. J.

Intermediate, Concert, and Chamber Choir

1. Sing a major scale using solfege
2. Sing a major triad using solfege
3. Sing a natural minor using solfege (if you know how)
4. Sing a natural minor triad and diminished minor triad (if you know how)
5. Sing a 30sec-1min song of your choice. It does not need to be accompanied, it can be acapella. Choose a repertoire that shows your voice range (high and low)
