We are the official voice of the Democratic Party in Whitman County, Washington — the only “blue” county in the 5th Congressional District. Spanning over 2,100 square miles and more than 30 communities — from rural towns to our vibrant university campus — we represent a diverse, engaged, and growing movement for progress. Whether you’re a lifelong Democrat, vote by issue, or are newly energized member of our community, we’re glad you’re here! NO KINGS RALLY: 3/28/26

Peaceful Demonstration/Rally
We’re inviting you to join us on Saturday, March 28, from 12:00–2:00 PM at Cougar Plaza in Pullman for a nationwide day of peaceful, nonviolent action.

Across the country, millions will gather to affirm a simple truth: in America, power belongs to the people — not kings.

This event is rooted in unity, hope, and a shared commitment to protecting our freedoms and our communities. A core principle of this gathering is nonviolence. We expect all participants to act lawfully, de-escalate conflict, and help ensure this is a safe and welcoming space for everyone.

Participants are encouraged to wear YELLOW as a visible sign of unity — a bright symbol of hope and nonviolent resistance.

We hope to stand alongside you on March 28 — or that you are able to participate wherever you may be if you are out of town.

Free Community Event.
Join us for a Common Grounds Community Event where neighbors can connect directly with candidates running to represent Washington’s 5th Congressional District.

This is NOT a debate and there will be NO speeches.
Common Grounds events are designed to create respectful conversation and real community connection.

This nonpartisan event welcomes everyone and provides an opportunity to meet the candidates who wish to represent our region in Congress, ask questions, and hear different perspectives.
