Unless specifically stated that the name on the tombstone is a spouse, any names on the stone will be in ( ). In some cases you will find a question mark after a cemetery name and the dates upon it. This is because there is no concrete evidence to say that the subject is the same as the person buried there, especially if it is a common name. These question marks are to give you a clue to look at and not take it for a fact that this is your person. This is not a complete list, especially missing are those of later times.
