This paper was written in February of 2024 for my dual credit Composition class in high school. The prompt for this essay was "10 page argumentative essay." I chose to write mine about why the NWS needs more funding.
This paper begins with a small background of the NWS and further goes on to argue for multiple reasons why the NWS needs more funding such as:
More employees
More/better equipment
More radars
In addition, this essay mentions counter arguments in the first paragraph after the intro. Some of the counter arguments include:
Funding is NOT needed
More radars will not help
Private sector can perform just as well/better than the NWS
