- Monday: 6.7 miles total. I ran 3.3ish to get to the T stop to ride the T into the city to meet up with friends after the Boston Marathon, and then rode the T back and ran 3.3ish back to home. Broke a clip on my pack, more on that later. Was a pretty easy way to get into the city, and I put jeans over compression shorts, and put on a dry shirt on the T. Seemed to work pretty well.
- Tuesday: Ran just 5 on the road, and did a mile a little faster, just to see how my legs were feeling. Turns out, there's not a lot of pop in my legs right now.
- Wednesday: Wanted to do something longer in the Fells, aiming for that 70 miles for the week, but wasn't really feeling doing loops of my normal routes. Wound up just exploring on the Rock Circuit trail, which was a blast. Lots of hand over hand climbing sections. Wound up with 8.7 for the day
- Thursday: Kind of crappy weather. 10 on the treadmill.
- Friday: Went for a long run, did a lap of the Skyline trail and a lap of the Reservoir for 15.1 total. Tried out the new pack (Aonijie 18L Pack) I got as a backup pack after the buckle broke on Monday.
- Saturday: Woke up super early to Volunteer at the TARC Spring Classic. Spent most of my time making grilled cheeses and quesadillas. Also met some folks and got to see some old friends. When I got home and left to go for a run, my feet were super tired from standing all day. Only manged an easy seven.
- Sunday: https://youtu.be/qeFJ7d0aD7A. Went out for a long day, plan was to run through the Fells to the start of trail tribe, run with them, and then back home through the Fells, and I managed to do just that. Tested out the new pack more and it was great. Also made use of my poles for a lot of the run, gotta practice. Total of 20.5 for the day.
Total: 73.2
Thoughts: This week felt a lot better than last week. I think last week was tough after the hard 22 miles I did on the Sunday at the end of the week before. I'm looking forward to my down week next week, goal is to be between 25 and 50 and just run comfortable when I want.
Photo: Trail Tribe did an Easter Egg hunt before the start, and empty eggs got nips. I got two empty eggs so I shot two nips before the start. One was Ruby Red Grapefruit Vodka and the other was Jameson. Made for a great pick me up 6 miles into my run.
