Hour of Code

The Hour of Code is an event where kids and adults all over the world get to try out coding and explore different languages.

Below are some suggestions for each grade level if you want to do it on your own, or I can come in for a whole class or centers time during the week of December 5th or December 12th (Technically, they like it to be all in one week, but that doesn't always work out!)

Kindergarten Suggestions

Bee Bots Online... or borrow the set for Hands On Fun! I have 18 Beebots to go around.

Kodable ... All K and 1 students will have an account. I will send out a list of class Codes Shortly.

Turtle Shapes with Blockly... create shapes or just practice putting blockly pieces together.


First Grade Suggestions

Kodable ... All K and 1 students will have an account. I will send out a list of class Codes Shortly.


CodeSpark and the Foos... This is a link to CodeSpark. Students must add a class code that is only valid for 30 minutes. I have created accounts for all 1st and 2nd grades, but students must activate each device.

Students can sign in with Microsoft to save progress.
