Whistlr respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Whistlr app on your Apple Watch.
Whistlr does not collect or share personally identifiable information. The app uses Apple HealthKit to record workout and fitness-related data while you use the app. This may include:
Active energy (calories burned)
Distance travelled
Heart rate
Workout duration and type
This data is stored securely on your device only and is not transmitted or accessible by the app developer or any third party.
Fitness and health data collected during your workout is:
Used to calculate and display in-app metrics such as calories burned or distance.
Written to your Apple Health app with your permission.
We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, or tracking purposes.
Whistlr integrates with Apple’s HealthKit framework to:
Write workout data (e.g. calories, heart rate) to the Health app.
Whistlr does not read any data from HealthKit, nor does it share HealthKit data with third parties.
All collected data is stored locally on your Apple Watch or iPhone.
We do not store, transmit, or upload any personal data to external servers.
Data is encrypted using Apple’s built-in device encryption mechanisms.
You are in control of your data:
You can manage or revoke Whistlr’s access to HealthKit via your device’s Health settings.
You can delete all app data by uninstalling the app or through Health app settings.
No sign-in or authentication is required to use Whistlr.
Whistlr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page and updated in the App Store listing.
