Kasey Appold, lead guitar, started teaching himself electic and acoustic guitar in 2019. He founded the Michigan Dogmen Band that would later change its name to the Whiskey Six. Kasey's ability to rip guitar solos and riff is not the only thing that he can do! He is able to take lead guitar on most songs but also has the ability to step out and take lead vocals on many songs.
You can find Kasey outside of the band working as an electrician.
Lead singer, Austin Appold has a wide vocal range and is able to sing various genres! However, Austin's angelic pipes are not the only thing that he brings to the band. He also shreds lead guitar on several songs and gives his little brother a chance to sing! Austin's on stage presence and vocals helps set Whiskey Six apart from other bands.
When not on stage, Austin works as an engineer.
If you have seen the Whiskey Six you've probably been mezmorized by our drummer, Matthew Jezowski! As an original member of the Whiskey Six, he is a stapled figure in the band. Matt lays down sick and groovy beats fans love to dance to. When Matt gets in the zone you can catch him doing stick flips and tricks while he jams out on the skins!
Matt works as a farmer and is forklift certified for the company that he is employed by.
Brady Hagenow was another founding member of the original Whiskey Six but at the time he did not play bass. When the band needed a new bass player, Brady accepted the job and taught himself. The low rumble of the bass can be felt in the music giving a solid backbone to the band!
Brady is a teacher outside of the band.
The "Iron Man", Brady Leppek can be seen up on stage tickling the ivories. Brady is also self taught on the keys, working day in and out to get better. Having Brad opens up a whole new plethora of songs with piano, perfect for live music! Piano may be his main instrument but he also sings harmonies and takes the lead of a few different songs. Brad's unique keyboard solos, sounds, and fills lights up the crowd and brings an electricity to the party!
Off stage Brady works a job.
Dr. Lucas Weiss was the last to join the Whiskey Six but holds a critical role. Lucas plays saxophone, fiddle, and has embraced his role as sound engineer. With very little prior experience with sound engineering he has been able to learn how to get the Whiskey Six sounding great. There are several songs where Lucas comes up and jams with the band, captivating audiences with his saxophone and fiddle solos.
Dr. Weiss is also a dentist outside of the band.
