Welcome, thank you for your interest in WHIP Fastpitch LLC. Below is just a bit of information about myself as well as a link to sign up to get on my schedule! Thanks again, and I hope to see you soon! For the love of the game, Tanya
I moved to Delaware, OH from Coventry, a small town in Upstate New York in August of 2020. I was a three-sport athlete in high school, and a dual sport athlete in field hockey and softball at Houghton College in Western New York. During high school, I earned numerous All-Conference and All-State Team honors, as well as earned two trips to the State Championships with her team in 7th and 10th grade. Throughout my NCAA Division III career, I threw one no hitter, and currently hold a place in the program record books for 2nd lowest ERA, 2nd in opponent batting average, 1st in strikeouts per game, 2nd in shutouts, and 1st in strikeouts looking. I also earned conference player of the week and conference pitcher of the week during her time at Houghton.
After graduating from Houghton, I moved to Bolivar, Missouri to pursue my Master’s in Business Administration and begin my coaching career as the Graduate Assistant Coach at Southwest Baptist University. Coaching at the Division II level for two seasons was great experience and helped me land a full-time assistant coaching position at Ohio Wesleyan University in 2020. Since moving to Ohio, I have gained a lot of experience as a private lesson instructor, working with girls of all ages on pitching, fielding, and hitting. I have worked with over 100 pitchers, and I love the game of softball and I am eager to continue learning and growing as a coach, while also helping girls and young women become more confident in themselves and reach their full potential.
I got married in December of 2021 to Steve who serves in the U.S. Army reserves, and we have a dog named Pepper. We love to go to MLB stadiums and other adventures as well when I am not coaching lessons or travel softball. In September of 2025, we welcomed our first child, Samuel. He is so precious and you may see him around at lessons sometimes.
In the summer of 2022, I decided to start a travel softball organization. WHIP Fastpitch is now in it's third season. I coach the youngest team, this year they are a first year 14U team. Doing lessons and coaching a team challenge me in many ways and I love that I get to coach on game days as well as help girls be their best for their teams. I am always striving to learn more on the best ways to do things and help girls reach their maximum potential. I care deeply about my clients and players and my top priority is to help them improve on life skills that will carry them far beyond their softball days.
