Theses courses are by teacher recommendation only.
Students who have successfully completed two high school visual art credits are eligible for Honors Art III, IV, or V. The primary focus of this course it to build a professional website featuring a robust resume and portfolio that supports their pursuit of college and career.
The students in this class are considered the WHHS Competition Squad. During this one-year course students will participate in many local, state, and national art shows and competitions; each of which will be added to their resume and portfolio, and may result in awards, recognition, and scholarship opportunities.
Level 2 - Honors Classes tend to be more complex and are to be accomplished at a more rapid pace, require a greater complexity of thought, a greater degree of independent inquiry, and a greater degree of sophistication in writing, research, and problem-solving skills, and course materials tend to be more demanding.
Below are a few of the many competions we participate in each year.
