Introduction

WiMM ("we", "our", "the app") is a personal expense tracking application built with privacy at its core. This policy explains how the app handles your data.

 The Short Version

 WiMM processes everything locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal or financial data on any server. Period.

 Data We Access

SMS Messages: WiMM requests permission to read your SMS inbox to automatically detect bank transaction messages. SMS messages are processed entirely on your device to extract transaction details (amount, merchant, date). Raw SMS content is stored only in your device's local database and is never transmitted off your device.

Financial Data: Transaction records, budgets, categories, and user profile information (monthly income, age, spending style) are stored in a local on-device database. This data never leaves your phone.

Data We Do NOT Collect

  - We do not collect personal information

  - We do not transmit SMS content or financial data to any server

  - We do not use analytics that track your financial behavior

  - We do not share data with third parties

  - We do not require account creation or sign-up

  - We do not use advertising or ad-tracking SDKs

 Third-Party Services

WiMM uses the following third-party services strictly for app stability and basic usage analytics:

- Firebase Crashlytics: Collects anonymous crash reports (stack traces, device model, OS version) to help us fix bugs. No financial data or SMS content is included in crash reports.

- Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymous app usage events (screen views, session duration). No personally identifiable information or financial data is collected.

These services are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Data Storage

All your financial data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted database. If you uninstall the app, all data is permanently deleted. There is no cloud backup or sync.

Internet Permission

WiMM requires internet access solely for Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics. Your financial data, SMS content, and personal profile information are never transmitted over the network.

Permissions

- SMS — Used to read bank messages and detect transactions. All processing happens locally on your device.

- Internet — Used solely for anonymous crash reports and app stability monitoring via Firebase.

Children's Privacy

WiMM is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this page.
