Where can I find Hydrafacial Kansas City

Nikky
Co-Owner / Aesthetician

I have always been obsessed with the beauty industry and everything about it. At a very young age my mom taught me how to take care of my skin, she always told my sister and me how important it is to wash your face and she always bought us the best products. It just stuck with me I guess. When I was finally of age to work, I always had a job in the beauty industry working at cosmetic counters. As much as l loved makeup, it was the skincare products that excited me more. I decided to go to esthetics school in 2000. It's been such an inspiring journey since. I’ve met so many great and knowledgeable humans along the way in this industry. I met Sean, who is not only my business partner but my bestie. And most importantly, I get to help people feel great about themselves.

I love how this industry is forever growing. I enjoy learning about new treatments, technology, and products that I can use in my treatment room to deliver the best results to my patients. When you love what you do it’s not work and I absolutely LOVE my “job”!

Sean

Co-Owner / Nurse Practitioner / Nurse Injector
I’ve always wanted to get into Medical Aesthetics ever since I can remember, but it’s a tough industry to get into. After practicing Primary Care for the under/uninsured in the Kansas City Metro area for a couple years as a nurse practitioner, I was able to breakthrough. In 2015, I joined a surgical organization where I was the lead nurse practitioner for the facial plastic surgery division. Working there provided me the foundation to my injection career. In 2017, I left this surgical organization and started working in a medical spa where I soon became the Lead Injector. It was at this medical spa that I met Nikky. After working together for a year we decided to open up Face KC Medical Spa in February of 2019. I am now a Master Injector who focuses primarily on injectables and I wouldn’t change a thing!

It’s a wonderful feeling to be a business owner, but an even better feeling because I’m doing what I’ve always wanted to do-Medical Aesthetics.

What is a HydraFacial?

HydraFacial is a revolutionary treatment that addresses all your skincare needs.

HydraFacial super serums are made with nourishing ingredients that create an instant glow in just a few steps.

The first step involves gently exfoliating the skin and cleansing it. Then a light chemical peel is applied to help resurface the skin and prepare it for painless extractions. Next, debris is removed from the pores using painless suction while nourishing the skin. The skin is then infused with antioxidants and peptides to enhance its glow. There is absolutely no downtime.

What is Dermaplane and how does it work?

Dermaplaning uses a medical-grade surgical blade to remove the surface layer of dead skin, debris, and hair. A single session can remove about 2-3 weeks worth of built up dead skin cells or debris. Dermplane is completely pain-free and non-invasive. The technique may look similar to shaving, but it is much more effective because the blade being used is able to get right against the top layer of skin. The hair does not get darker as dermaplaning is designed to target the vellus hair, also known as peach fuzz. It will grow back the same color and size. A surgical blade does not give the illusion of thicker hair. This procedure is painless and requires no downtime.

What is Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel refers to a treatment that uses a chemical solution to exfoliate the top layers of skin. Chemical peels will help to improve the skin's texture and radiance, even out the skin tone, diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, help acne-prone skin, and decongest pores. Chemical peels come in superficial, medium, and deep strengths. The results of a chemical peel will vary depending on the concerns you have and what type of treatment you choose. For most, multiple treatments are recommended to achieve the best results.

Lashes & Brows

Let's not forget about our lashes and brows! We all know by now that lashes and brows play a significant role in our overall aesthetics. Just as we color our hair, why not our eyebrows and lashes? You can create the illusion of longer lashes and brows by tinting the hair follicles.

A lash lift can take it to the next level. Semi permanent curls can be achieved with this procedure that can last for up to six weeks. Don't use mascara or curler on your lashes. Instead, save your time by using a lash/brow pigment and/or lash lifting.

Have a tight schedule? Latisse can help! In as little as eight weeks, this at-home treatment can lengthen your lashes and make them thicker and darker.

What is Medical-Grade skincare?

What is medical grade skincare you might ask? These skincare products have higher active ingredients than what you would find in the store. That means quicker results in less time. Also, medical-grade products penetrate skin deeper than over-the-counter products. While some products may cost more than others, you'll know that the products you purchase are high-quality and have been clinically tested to ensure optimal results.

You think that sounds wonderful? We think so. This is why we carry three top-rated medical-grade brands of skincare: SkinCeuticals, Alastin, and SkinMedica.
