Experience the journey through Werribee and Explore the history of Wyndham with the WHERE.A.BEE Treasure Hunt. Occupy the WHERE.A.BEE Art Installation at KELLY PARK 1 - 31 DEC 2017
You will need : Smart phone/Tablet with QR code reader, GPS activated, Google and Instagram. At Kelly Park you can use free wifi spot provided by Wyndham City Council (Wifi_Name: WCC Public).
This "WHERE.A.BEE" treasure hunt is designed for ages 7 - 70 who enjoy walking. Please supervise your children in the art installation and during the RED Bees hunt. It's something that the whole family can enjoy.
CAUTION FOR:
- Cars when you are crossing the road or scanning the QR Code from trees .
- Pedestrian and bicycle traffic.
- Slippery streets and paths when wet (non flat surface/stairs).
- Parental or guardian supervision is recommended for the use of the "Where.A.Bee Treasure Hunt" Map.
- Children under the age 12 should be accompanied by an adult.
- Proper footwear and a hat is recommended.
- Bring some water and don't let yourself dehydrate.
- Please be responsible and act responsibly
- You are undertaking the "Where.A.Bee Treasure Hunt" at your own risk
1. At the starting point, a QR Code is provided in the WHERE.A.BEE Art Installation. Scan all the bees with the unique QR codes. Not every origami Red Bee that has a QR code will lead to the next clue ( there are 7 empty QR code) so you need to find the right QR bees (12) , solve the mystery word puzzle and find the final destination.
2.Every origami Red Bee that has a right QR code will lead to the next clue location (There are 12 unique red QR bees in total to solve the mysterious word treasure location of the 13th final location outside the art installation). .
3.You need to make a note and read the hints/clue carefully to find the mysterious letter that will form the mystery word (4 word) . You then need to complete all the 12 answers from each QR code clues using the Google Form.
There are 12 unique Red Bee QR codes in total that need to be found to solve the mysterious word treasure location.
4.You need to browse a book in the library (Wyndham Our Story, Werribee The First 100 Years and Snippets of Wyndham) or visit the Werribee District Historical Society at Cnr.Watton St & Duncans Road to find the answers from the bee QR Code .
5.Answer all questions from each Red Bee and after you are done send all the 12 answers from each QR code clues using this Google Form below.
6.After you find all the bees, solve the mystery word puzzle and find the final destination Red Bee (the 13th). Take a selfie showing the final location and share your picture in Instagram. Post to my instagram @where.a.bee and put tag #ifoundtheredbee #whereabee #redwest2017 #redredux by 31 Dec 2017.
I will choose the first correct 10 participants and announce it on my Instagram Jan 1, 2018. You will get email notification too through your email and instagram DM. So, don't forget to write down your email contact and Instagram on Google Form above.
10 lucky participants will receive a gift for your hard work exploring Werribee on the WHERE.A.BEE treasure hunt.
