The ability to connect an iPhone with a vehicle is done in Bluetooth. That is a Bluetooth connection and the ability to sync content to the car is dependent on the vehicle and the phone. I'm not sure what other type of device you refer to, but seems you are confusing sync with Bluetooth pairing.

With DT2, I would sometimes get a sync issue where sync (via Dropbox) would stop working. Each of my two Macs would report that it was synced, but files added on one would not appear on the other. Nothing showed in the log and there seemed to be no way of kicking them back into action. In the end I would have to pick one database, move all its contents into a new DB and restart the whole thing.

Note: If you are using Download Files: On Demand for your databases in DEVONthink To Go, leave the old Dropbox sync location enabled and click Proceed when you see the warning.

[a] Leave big database that is failing to sync without errors in existing Dropbox sync store

[b] Create new Dropbox sync store and add small db

[c] Sync to new Dropbox sync store from DTTG, make a change, resync

A solid blue circle with two white arrows going in a circle means that your file or folder is in the process of syncing. This includes when you are uploading new files to Dropbox or updating existing files in your Dropbox account.

A white circle with a green border and a green checkmark means that a file or folder in the Dropbox folder on your desktop was opened (directly or with a third-party application) and synced. It also represents files uploaded from the computer you are using.

Below are the different Dropbox icons in your taskbar (Windows). This is visible when the Dropbox desktop app is running on your computer. These icons show you the sync status of your entire Dropbox account, not just the status of one file or folder.

You can also see the sync status of your entire Dropbox account in the bottom left of the Dropbox app window. To open the Dropbox app window, click the sync icon you see from the table above. If your files are fully synced, the text in the bottom left corner will say Your files are up to date.

Microsoft Outlook contains synchronization issues folders which include logs and items that Microsoft Outlook has been unable to synchronize with your email servers. Having messages in these folders is a normal function of Outlook as they are error-checking mechanisms that the program uses to sync your email to email services. For more information on where to find this sync issues folder and details of these folders, refer to the section How to access Outlook's folder view and Sync Issues folder.

Now, if you have created an Unread Mail search folder in Outlook, you may begin seeing synchronization log messages in that search folder like the one below (For more information on the search folders, visit the following article from Microsoft: Use search folders to find messages or other Outlook items).

Verified that both Firefox and the Bitwarden add-on are updated to the latest versions.

Checked my internet connection, which is stable.

Restarted Firefox.

Inspected the Firefox Console Logs (via about:debugging) but found no relevant output when the sync issue occurs.

I went here: Bitwarden Web Vault

and increased my KDF iterations as mine were way below the recommended value. Applying that change made my extension session expired and when I logged back in, the sync works once again.

According to Argo app instructions there is a sync button on the bottom surface of spotlight camera (VMC4050P). But in that location on my camera there is, instead, a magnetic connector for the charging cable and a button to open unit for inserting the removable battery.

Where is the sync button?

So, I keep my code synced between systems using Syncthing. It works great. But there is this annoying issue where sync-conflict files keep popping up. Very very frequently, like multiple every 10 minutes or so.

I am pretty sure this particular sync folder should only be shared with systems currently on my LAN. My active instance is on a wired network with the Debian 12 machine, and then the other Ubuntu 23.04 is a laptop on the wireless.

Especially if you want to sync files that you keep in .gitignore. Like, say, dumps of a dev database. Or binary files, or any number of other things you should never commit to a git repo, but you do need to have available in your dev environment.

This is unrelated unless the limits prevent Syncthing from detecting actual changes, which then causes your modifications to sync with a delay, leading to the conflicts. You would see ionotify-related errors being reported in the Web GUI if that was the case though.

I use Git on my laptop as well and sync that to Github so that was my backup strategy while Logseq Sync was turned back on. Once I was ready to turn Sync back on, I tagged my Git repo so I could always get back to what it was prior, ya know, just in case.

I think they realized the current implementation of storage is impossible to fix and they decided to introduce a DB, it seems SQLite compiled to WebAssembly, and use it as the reliable storage. Then, to my understanding, they will develop a background service that sync the DB with the Markdown/Org files, making changes propagate in the two directions.

Are there any other factors in play here, such as having Logseq open/active on another device at the same time or opening more than once instance of Logseq on the laptop? I once opened two instances of logseq with sync enabled (one just to read-only on another monitor) and this was causing me to receive a merge popup quite frequently.

In other words - sync is worse than useless like this. So ironic to pay for an organizer that ends up making things messier. The Logseq website introduces it saying " constantly afraid of losing your thoughts"? Well yes, thanks to Logseq!

Stopped using the internal sync and started using Syncthing for peer to peer synchronization. Next step is having an own raspberry as data center for distribution and backup. That is currently my way on dodging the non-realiability of the internal sync feature. Anyways i actually intend to not rely on a centralized sync service.

In the above screenshot, I had to manually select all the tracks that I wanted to move and make sure I had a trim roller on each one so that they stay in sync with the actual shots I was trimming.

Trimming like this involves a lot less clicking and a lot less decision-making. You just trim where you want to and everything stays in sync that you want to stay in sync while everything else stays in place exactly where you want it.

What all editors would argue for, when defending their own choice of NLE (and their own preference of using sync locks), is the need to be able to make changes to the cut, quickly and intuitively, without having to think too much about which button to press or how to go about achieving the desired result.

When I need to make changes to a scene, I drop the music/sfx down to these tracks to keep the clips from moving out of sync. Cutting and trimming is the same, but when it comes to fixing the music, I can simply deselect all the other tracks and cut the music without affecting anything else. I really like being able to do music using trim mode, so this works well for me.

As with all trim modes, you can use the spacebar to loop and review. Just remember that Media Composer will use the first point you chose as the point to loop from and the point to delete from or add to. (This has changed from earlier versions of Avid where it was the last point that you clicked).

Also note that this Asymmetrical Trimming does not only work with sync locks off. You can use it with them on, but a lot of automatic choices are made for you, all on one side of the cut, so sometimes it takes a few extra clicks to override the default placement of the rollers and choose exactly where you want the rollers to go. Some editors seem to prefer sync locks off, referring to them as training wheels but others feel they give far greater confidence.

Similarly, you can also add markers to the filler between clips as well as to clips themselves in the timeline (those bits of filler do have their uses!), thus giving a reliable way to check everything is in sync. The downside to this is that you have to add all the markers one-by-one so if you have a lot of tracks this will take a while (even with a macro this would be cumbersome).

You need to have filler (i.e. no clip) in your uppermost video track at the end of your sequence. Then activate the uppermost video track and turn your sync locks off. Park at the end of the sequence and press the Add Edit button, then go into Trim Mode.

EDIT: To anyone reading this, at the time of this writing KopiaUI does not natively support syncing to other repos (the sync-to command). However, you can use the sync-to feature in KopiaUI by doing the following:

Create a script (e.g., command or batch file) that has the command in it. For example, in Windows you can create a file sync_to_other_repos.cmd and add the line \path\to\kopia.exe --config-file="\path\to\kopia\repository.config" repository sync-to gcs --credentials-file="\path\to\google_cloud_credentials.json" --bucket="examplebucket" --delete. Note that an easy way to find the path to kopia.exe and the path to your repository.config file can be found by clicking the yellow >_ button in KopiaUI (bottom left of the interface). The example code I give is trying to sync to a Google Cloud Storage bucket. You can sync to any repository supported by Kopia; see Common Commands | Kopia and scroll down to the sync-to section. ff782bc1db
