For completeness, the toolkit tools still exist and are now included in the installation of MEMCM / SCCM. These tools, which include CMTrace, are updated as required with each cumulative update (CU).

The toolkit is found under the Tools folder. In my case the path to cmtrace.exe is:

E:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\tools.

This article provides general information about the Configuration Manager log files. It includes tools to use, how to configure the logs, and where to find them. For more information on specific log files, see Log files reference.

Just wondering, could someone have any knowledge about how to disable the first-run dialog of CMTrace? The one which asks do you want to use cmtrace as default program for .log files etc? Any switches for cmtrace or registry patch?

This concept is obviously very limited in capability. However, it could be adapted for use in performing hybrid App deployments with Intune to Windows desktop computers, whereby the installation content is hosted from an on-premises host (server, share). This would only be an option to consider if you do NOT have ConfigMgr in place, as this is a band-aid idea.

The CMTrace log viewing tool is now automatically installed along with the Configuration Manager client. It's added to the client installation directory, which by default is %WinDir%\ccm\cmtrace.exe. Simply run the executable, there's no need to "install" it and if desired associate it with .log files.

This is the main meat of the script. This is where you can put all of your information about what is going on. I will always start and finish a script with a clear maker such as this. Setting this as a variable and not putting it directly into the next line means that you ave more flexibility to change it, something like the following line

You can use TRACERT to find out where a packet stopped on the network. In the following example, the default gateway has found that there is no valid path for the host on 22.110.0.1. Probably, either the router has a configuration problem, or the 22.110.0.0 network does not exist, reflecting a bad IP address.

I have an Avaya system and have begun to have a problem. I am trying to track down where the issue may lie. When you call our phone number 703-406-XXXX, all you get is a busy signal. When you call the interior number 889-1600 (the operator number), which the 703 number connects to, you get a busy signal. If you call any of the other 889 numbers, you get through to the person you are calling. Clearly something has been disconnected, and I am trying to find it, I have been looking in the Coverage Path section, which have Path numbers and Points. These have such names as h1, r1, and c1. Can anyone tell me what these could represent, and how to modify them, if needed? Any help will be appreciated.

That's normal in a lot of cases. Do a 'list usage extenstion 1710' and see where it's assigned. It could be a bridged appearance on 1711, 1712 and 1713 for example. List trace station 1710 calling in and figure out why it's not landing where it should.

Also, check for double coverage. To say, 1710 being assigned nowhere but having a coverage path to another extension and that other extension being in send-all-calls to coverage. Calls generally don't like going through 2 coverage paths.

After many years of working with SCCM I have become very comfortable with troubleshooting most issues that arise from anything deployed through SCCM. These days most of the items I deploy are through Intune/MEM. This means I have had to start learning how and where I can do troubleshooting for items deployed through Intune/MEM. I will use this post to catalog where I do all my troubleshooting. I will update this post as I learn more about how and where to troubleshoot deployments through Intune/MEM.

I have not defined the exit code as failed in the application properties, but if I did it would come up as failed. And with some additional work upfront while writing install scripts you can precisely pinpoint where an error is occurring (see the scripting section for more info). Finally, another detection is performed to confirm that the application was installed correctly.

Logging: The logging feature was created by @EphingPosh and is posted at -cmtrace-log-function/. In my environment, I added this as a separate module, but it could be added to the top of the script as well. This logging is done in CMTrace format for easy readability.

The log feature is a powershell module from -cmtrace-log-function/. You will need to either import that module on the system you are running the script, or add the entirety of it to the top of the repo script.

As you know you can also trig your GPR measurements by time. This is done for instance when you are working with a drone mounted GPR or doing measurements from a boat or different types of unshielded antennas where wheels cannot be attached. What distance interval to use depends on the speed of measurement. For walking pace (1 m/sec), 0.05 to 0.1 sec is often sufficient, giving you 10-20 measurement points per meter profile. For 10 m/s (36 km/h) it is suitable with 0.005 to 0.01 sec.

This article details where to find the smsts.log file and instructions on how to copy the log for review or sending to another team. The log file provides information on the imaging process and can be useful when trying to figure out why the imaging process failed.

The smsts.log file can be found in different locations depending on where in the imaging process the failure happened. You will use the file path when copying the log to a mapped network drive, USB drive, etc.

Hi..Thanx. I am mentioning the path C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Intune Management Extension\Content\Incoming as where the content is downloaded to in the first place when triggering the win32app install.

SOLUTION: First ensured the cause of the issue was not related to permission, I simply deleted the old cmtrace.exe from the above destination location, and retried the upgrade installation, and the upgrade was completed successfully.

I started my PhD at TU Delft in December 2017, after finishing my Master's thesis also at TU Delft in the CloudBrake group, where I used a year-long of LES simulations over Cabauw (the Netherlands) to look at differences in momentumtransport between days with clear skies and days with cumulus clouds. I decided I am not done yet learning about cumulus convection, and joined as a PhD student! During my PhD,I will work with ground-based and satellite observations to unravel relationships between clouds, momentum transport and wind.

Got your point !! But the thing is .. is there any definite time line set in BOE wherein after 60 days automatically the logs (like APS Logs etc..) will get deleted etc. ( not for audit logs) ? Is there any place where we can mention the time line say for example after 15 days these logs should get flushed out automatically? or is it that we have to manually archive the logs periodically as and when which I can assume that there is no parameter like this

To draw straight lines anywhere in your drawing space without realigning the ruler, tap the Gear button and then turn "Assist" on. Next, select your Snap Angle. You can choose between 15, 30, 45, or 90. Take note that the snap angle will adjust to the rotation of your ruler. e24fc04721
