Overview
When Did I… is designed to keep your information private. The developer does not collect, receive, sell, rent, or share personal information through the app. The app contains no advertising and uses no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. No separate account is required.
Information you create
The names of items you track, completion dates, reminder choices, intervals, notes, and related app settings are information you enter into the app. This information is stored locally on your device. It is also shared locally with the When Did I… Home Screen widgets through Apple’s App Group technology. The developer does not receive this information.
iCloud sync
If you are signed into iCloud and iCloud is available, the app uses Apple’s iCloud key-value storage to keep your items up to date across your devices. This data is stored in your private iCloud account and is handled by Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. The developer does not operate a separate server and does not have access to your iCloud records. The app continues to work offline.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. Reminder information is not sent to the developer. You can change notification permission at any time in iOS Settings.
Purchases
The optional Unlimited Items purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. The developer does not receive your payment card or billing details. The app receives only the information needed from Apple to determine whether the purchase is available to you.
Data export
You can create a CSV copy of your items and recorded dates from within the app. Exporting is initiated by you, and you choose where the file is saved or shared. The developer does not receive a copy.
Data retention and deletion
Your records remain on your devices and, when iCloud sync is available, in your private iCloud account until you remove them. You can delete individual history entries or items in the app. Deleting the app removes its local data from that device, subject to Apple’s device backups and iCloud syncing behavior.
Children’s privacy
Because the app does not collect personal information, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if the app’s features or privacy practices change. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
