What is paint correction?
Paint correction is the process of removing defects such as swirls, scratches, oxidation, and etching in your paints clear coat, which are often caused by improper washing technics, etching from bugs/bird droppings, road tar, and brushing against the vehicle with fingers keys or clothing. Having a paint correction greatly increases the paints depth and clarity and improves the shine significantly.
How does it work?
In order to remove the imperfections, I must level out the clear coat, but it doesn't start there. Prior to any compounding or polishing I must remove contaminants in the paint as well as taping off any sensitive areas like trim and other plastics. Paint correction can be a meticulous process but the results are extraordinary.
