TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using WhatToWatch ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Steffen Weintraub ("I", "me", or "my"), the owner and operator of WhatToWatch.

2. Use of the App

WhatToWatch is a movie and TV show discovery app that allows users to browse, save, and organize titles. You agree to use the App only for lawful personal, non-commercial purposes. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.

3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

The App offers a Pro subscription with the following options:

• Monthly Plan: $1.99 per month

• Yearly Plan: $14.99 per year

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account and automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, except where required by applicable law. All purchases are final.

4. Free Tier Limitations

Free users are subject to the following limitations:

• 35 swipes per day

• A maximum of 50 saved titles

These limits may be changed at my discretion at any time.

5. Third-Party Data

WhatToWatch uses the TMDb API but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDb. Movie and TV show data, images, and metadata are provided by The Movie Database (TMDb). I am not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any content provided by TMDb.

6. Streaming Links

The App provides links to third-party streaming services for informational purposes. I do not guarantee the accuracy of streaming availability information. Clicking a streaming link may direct you to a third-party website or app. I am not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party streaming service.

7. Intellectual Property

All original content, features, and functionality of WhatToWatch — including but not limited to design, branding, and code — are owned by Steffen Weintraub and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the App without my prior written consent.

8. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by my Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The App stores your data locally on your device. I do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. I do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the App is at your sole risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Steffen Weintraub shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. My total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or any in-app purchases in the three months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to the App

I reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any part of it at any time without notice. I shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.

12. Changes to These Terms

I reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When I do, I will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New York County, New York.
