At “What’s The Call?”, we find inspiration through improving our beloved sport of Pickleball however we can.

The mission of “What’s The Call?” (WTC) is to make tournaments across the U.S. a more professional and better experience for all, by increasing the number of USA Pickleball Certified Referees and improving the skills of ALL referees with standardization and professionalism!

Our focus will be on increasing knowledge, building confidence and camaraderie, all in a low-stress, fun, and social setting of innovative ref and rule-based game shows, open discussion, and clinics with interactive practice online! We want to INSPIRE more and more people to enjoy the rewarding experience of giving back, while offsetting their own tournament expenses, making money, AND, heightening their own levels of competitiveness by knowing all of the rules. Being able to interact with experienced officials and others who are aspiring to become referees makes the whole experience inclusive, with a lot of laughs along the way. And, let’s face it, Pickleball is often as much about socializing as it is about competing.

We are a group of USA Pickleball Certified Referees, Registered Trainers, Ambassadors, Sponsors, Promoters, and Pickleball Fanatics!! We wanted to use this time of the pandemic COVID-19 ‘Staying-at-Home’ (and beyond), to give back to the sport we all love so much and that it has enriched our lives in many ways! We have heard people say that officiating is too hard for them, and we want to encourage more people to give it a try, and find out that it’s really NOT that scary, like some people might think.

We’re very fortunate to have the one and the only DON STANLEY a highly regarded USA Pickleball Certified Referee, Trainer, and Ambassador. Don has been the Master of Ceremony and a key contributor since the birth of the program, as well as Ambassadors, tech gurus, copywriters, and hosts.
